you can use it with a usb floppy dude but ONLY if your floppy seen as a floppy by the bios.
some usb floppies dont like it. mine works fine on my mobo
you can also use a thumb drive.
get off your butt and just go buy a floppy
and never use the stupid windows flashers.
and lastly.. but not least... use your damn floppy and make a startup disk and flash it via dos. end of story.
be mad all you want but be mad at yourself for missing the most obvious of flash methods.... D O S . . . .
sorry man i didnt mean to sound like a d|ck just people who ditch their floppies need to get with the program,, floppies are years from being done for.....

for me @flash only crashed once in Vista... but flashed 8 times in XP and no problems so far, not a single crashOriginally Posted by darkandlong
Edit:
Nevermind, figured it out. Need to enable boot from USB-FDD from the boot order for the board to check for the floppy. Flashed to F5 with no issues.

I tried F5C and it was crappy even at stock speeds as it would make my system hang while loading the apps at windows. i reverted back to bios F3 and its rock stable. i wonder what's in F5C that makes it problematic.

yup i did try to reset cmos thrice but the problems in windows were still there. i am going to use F4 again later and see how it fares against the F3 and F5c.Originally Posted by FirePhoenixCtk

Will you guys be kind enough to post here the most ideal memory settings for Gigabyte 965 mobos which will make our OC more stable? Thanks in advance!

make sure eist and tm2 and all that related stuff is disabled if you oc, i have seen many people puch well into the 1.65v region on DQ6s the problem is with all the above turned on the board will volt down the chip to like 1.2 and if you try to hit some mad OC with 1.2v your going to fail
