This isn't to say I'm giving up in the computer, but being so narrow minded to have only one piece of hardware? Hell no, there is the Wii can do that PCs cant. Like legally play emulators.

Sticking with the PC. Nothing can touch a mouse and keyboard.

Consoles make nice toys for my kids though.

Consoles are getting better. But are just a different experience than PCs. Ironically enough consoles are actually becoming more like PCs. That is, HDDs, CPUs, XGA+ resolutions.

    PS3 + PC here.

Wii is a possibility. XBox 360, likely not. There will be a lot of sweet games that will be 360 only, but it's too much like a PC to me. Therefore, PS3 + PC.

I guess I just like the constant evolution of PC hardware and the cutting edge games that push the envelope. I went to 1GB RAM for one reason - Far Cry needed it to run smoothly. I also went from a 9800 Pro to a 6800GT to run Fary Cry better. I am probably going to upgrade my rig to Conroe for one simple reason - the new Crysis may be a game that can use the extra processing power. Console games are *okay*, and it is a much larger market than the PC gaming market. But the most impressive technology is always in the PC game market. I've always hoped that the XBox platform would evolve closer and closer to PC technology, and that coding games for the XBox would essentially be coding them for the PC. Don't know how close the two are today though.

    I'm going with the PS3.

The 360 has no good games now or on the horizon. I mean Gears of Wars and Dead Rising won't last them forever. PS3 will have better graphics, it will have memory slots, and free online play.

    PS3 all the way!

XBox 360 has a lot of sweet games on the horizon. Gears of War, Halo 3, Lost Planet, Mass Effect, and F.E.A.R., are all 360-only games. Others are BioShock and Prey but they will also be on PC (but not PS3).

PS3 also has a lot of good games on the horizon:

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
    Assassin's Creed
    Final Fantasy Versus XIII
    Final Fantasy XIII
    Mercenaries 2: World in Flames
    Heavenly Sword
    Resistance: Fall of Man
    Rainbox Six: Vegas
    WarHawk

Others that will also be on the PC (but not XBox):
    Unreal Tournament 2007

All systems have good games coming that would make them a good buy. But there will be many more in the years to come as well, and we can't look into the future.

After the dissapointment of Halo 2, I wouldn't trust Halo 3, and that's about the only thing the Xbox has.
I'm really looking foward to Assasin's Creed. It looks like Prince of Persia, but much bigger and more detailed. And as always, MSG is a must!

Also there was that other PS3 game that I forgot the name of. It was on the cover of Electronic Gaming Monthly (I think that was the right one). The cover was two men with guns wearing hocky masks, and the game looks so sweet. I'll try to go to Barnes and Noble to find the name.

Also I hate paying for online play, and the PS3 will have far better graphics!!

This is why I hate when people compare consoles and computers. PCs cost thousands while a consle costs about 400 - 500 bucks. Console is all gaming and PCs can do a variety of things. To me it's like comparing a bike to a car.

Well, of course I will stick with my PC. I also already have a 360 and I am personally very excited for Gears of War, Mass Effect, and loads of others I have compiled in a text file. Also, if the Wii is at a good price I may also pick that up. I'm sure as hell not going near a PS3, though.
