the orb has been spoiled by the bugged/fake scores ... a half decent way round it though is to put the g4 ti 4600 in the graphics box on the search and compare as it knocks most of the fakes out ...

To get that score he'd have to be doing some serious clocking on that card.

Don't forget that there are some ti 4200's that come out with 3.3 ns ram as well. eg SUMA make one.

It could be a fake though. As I average around the 13,300 and my ti 4600 clock's at 365/780. Maybe I need a lot more tweaking and some more horse power under the bonnet.

They will fall at his feet....... But eBay @ZZHOLE still ripped me off!

I hope your not talking about that original score I posted

You might want to take a look at some of the systems' specs that are scoring around him in the Ti4200 class

Those Intels seem to run pretty good on 3Dmark.....

Socket A thin fin cooler with DELTA. Thermaltake ram sinks on BGA. It's a Leadtek Ultra with A3 chip.

Yeah that's why I'm cursing Intel, it's too easy to get high scores. Why did you even change the cooling on that card? The stock cooling with stronger fans would be better than what you put on, it sounds like.

It was a mixture of reasons why I changed it over.

At the time I had issues with 3.3volt level. Went down to 2.97 at times (under load). This was with an ENERMAX 550 watt.

Since then I've found it important to make certain that the pins in the ATX socket on the motherboard make proper contact with the ATX plugs from the power supply. MY 3.3 volt level is over 3.36 volts now. As read from MBM etc. You'll find that the GF4 overclocks better with a higher 3.3 volt level.

I also found that the rear sink got mighty toasty on the Leadtek standard setup. Tried using a 50 cfm Sanyo Denki and it improved things somewhat.

I took it off to have a look and the finish of the mating surfaces positively suck (really rough). Especially where it makes contact with the GPU. It doesn't help with the dished surface of the DIE.

The socket A heatsink is rated for a 2100+. So it should cool better. I would think. Only thing is I attached the TT heatsinks with very thin frag tape, so it's not as good as thermal compound.

Have to work out a better way soon. When I can get a GPU water block I might try that with a pelt.
