New Max Frequency WR on a QuadCore Kentsfield : 4550MHz
CPU-Z Validation : http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=107258
After the 4455MHz I've got with that cpu, I've been convinced it deserves a well vmodded m/b to run on, 1.54v was a shame Now, it's 1.72v, and I can still go higher (up to 1.78v)...
The major issue is still the max fsb, now I simply can't go any higher than 267MHz, it's really upsetting me, whatever I try, I can't do anything to fix this, I've tried several fsb straps (533/800/1066, the 1333 won't boot at all), any Vmch, tried to set in the bios or in clockgen... and, for sure, i use the last Intel bios, which is supposed to improve the o/c a bit... that board sucks with a Kentsfield, that's all.
4550MHz doesn't seem to be the max I can get, I was just too busy to fight with combinations of high multipliers and low fsb today, but I promise, i'll be back tomorrow
