MSI Has Serious IPOD nano Contender

    http://www.theinq.com/default.aspx?article=33104

The P610 is to be the IPOD next greatest contender. A 1GB version should sell for around €99. According to TheINQ The test version had 1GB while there are 2GB and 4GB versions slated for the future. The P610 is thin, very thing at 8.5 millimetre thick. The P610 features a stylish origional design that does not seem to be just another IPOD clone, but something a little different. Fortunately the display visible in pictures below is not the final display that will be used.

The whole look and display of the unit reminds me of a cell phone that i used to have. More competition is definately a good thing though. Interested to see what Microsoft is going to put on the table as well. Hopefully someone can come up with a navigation system that is as innovative as the Ipod wheel

With that cheap plastic the scuffs aren't easily visible. I've seen pretty beaten up iPods and the majority of the time you only notice when you examine it pretty closely. Aluminum wouldn't look so hot under the same conditions. Plastic will bend, aluminum will just dent. But I agree the aluminum does look better

And I thought the MSI looked bigger. They say "very thin" at 8.5mm but the nano is 6.9mm.

Hopefully it will be cheaper and have a better interface. F'ing hate iTunes.

    Hopefully you can overclock it

I actually really like the look of this music player, I would definately consider getting one.
Microsoft's homepage can be found at: thesource-dot-ofallevil-dot-com - interesting, no?

looking at the pictures of that thing literally give me a headache, and I don't know why. Maybe i'd like it better if I saw it in person. It looks tougher than an ipod, but I wonder how it will stand up to physical abuse
I had the fastest 32M Opteron time for about 1/2 day, and I'm damn proud of it
