    This is a great resource.

Canada Computers used to be quite competitive for some things. We'll have to see when they get stock of these items.

Also, the Gigabyte DS3 might be worth adding. I see NCIX has a listing.

    Thanks.

FYI, the NCIX is odd, their E6600 has a $409, $415, and a $421 chip.

Your guess is as good as mine...all I know is I have a friend who's involved in sales, and he's going to reserve one for me of their first batch and send it out

They have 3 pages for every CPU, so I choosed the one with the longest title (they always show as much info as possible in the title, like the cache, fsb etc..)

And you are lucky to have a friend there . I'm looking for the P5B (which they have "comming soon 2-5 days for over a week now) They have no clue when they will have it.

The price of the E6600 in Canada is the same as the Pentium D 950. Both are set at $318 by intel. So no, the E6600 price isn't high, it's just where it should be.

Although I'm in Seattle, I go to Vancouver/Richmond BC a lot, so I could always drop by and possibly save some $$$... :

Hehe, I must have been one of the last ones who grabbed rev 304 Badaxe from NCIX.

When I placed my order with NCIX, their real-time stock checker said there were two in stock. Now, they are out of stock and ETA is august.

I just seen your post on RFD.. tempting.. but in other hand, it's far from the $180 budget I had for a board

And you were trying to sell your ES on RFD ?

Seems like prices are pretty decent. A PD 950 in Canada is around $380CAD ($316USD is Intel's official pricing) so prices are looking not too bad.

Thanks for the great list. I'll know where to look when I choose parts to get for a new system.

Thats not a very good comparison. What you're saying is that both have their prices too high.

$316USD translates into $350-360 depending on exchange rate, which is where I want it to be. I think I'll wait out a little bit until the prices come down a little bit. There is no reason to pay extra $65 for overpriced cpu + motherboard.

Doncha love it? $15 shipping for a CPU (ripoff) and $30 for a case. How does that make sense?

If we look at the spot exchange rates of $1.137CAD/$1USD, the $360 value is pretty close. However, you have to remember that CPU pricing doesn't reflect those currency exchanges perfectly. $380CAD over $316USD represents only a $1.20/$1 exchange rate, which is actually pretty reasonable, considering what we were at one point paying.

I'm just saying you can't just convert prices directly with that day's currency exchange rate. There's many other things at play here (supply demand, competitors' pricing, etc)

what piss me off is there is no "cheap" (under $200) board yet..

The P5B don't look to be shipped in the same time as the P5B Deluxe.
Still no ETA for the P5B while the deluxe is available.
