    1. what revision board you have: 1.0
    2. which BIOS is being used 1.2 final (1.1 same issue)
    3. what CPU is in 5000+
    4. the exact voltage that won't let you reboot properly. Anything past 1.4 +0.1v on CPU and anything over 2.2vdimm I get power downs on every reboot and randomly in windows. It gets worse with more volts.

Board works fine at stock or a slight OC but OVP is really bad on my board to the point to where it is not useful to me.

well, i asked msi what the deal is with ovp, we'll see what happens there..

for now, one thing that is CRITICAL.

check out Q33, just above the 6 sata ports. the voltage at the ground tab is the same as vdimm for me... with 2.45v set and about 15 seconds of memtest, temps are well over 75c, and definitly hurt my poor finger
    time for sinkage.

edit: along with before and after testing to see if it effects clocks any, aiming for max 1 pass #5 stable

Board picks up stock VID to be at 1.3V so there's 0.05V above stock VID available.

    guys , i have a nasty problem.

Yesterday , i was trying max vcore. Didn't go very far
    I tried 1.45v + 0.2v , when i rebooted , the mobo shuts down.

Now I can't power on my system anymore
unplugged power cables , reset CMOS , nothing works...

I wanna thank you very much!!!!

I had a lot of troubles with K9N SLI (not platinum), I couldn't write cd, because when I started the burning, the pc shut down before that dvd-writer began its work.
When I reproduced any kind of sound with the audio device, after about 10-15min the pc suddenly shut down, how happens when there is a black-out.

Following your suggest, now I can write cd without problem, and I think now also the problem for the audio is resolved, now I will try but I think it also should be ok.

But why MSI, also with the last bios doesn't resolve this problem? I don't understand, they should simply set Disabled and 200Mhz like default bios setting.

P.S: Sorry if my english is not perfect but I'm Italian.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo! I'm again desperate! I was listening mp3 with winamp from about 30min when suddenly pc shut down The system was in safe mode, so I had to switch off and then switch on the PSU, to can swith on pc again

I don't understand where the problem is. I've tried to run 3d mark 2005 for more than a hour. Also prime95x2, to run both core at 100% and I had no problem but when I play audio suddenly the system shut down Now I will try with a sound blaster 1024 Live! in PCI slot.

Guys have you some suggestions to help me? PLS!

ops I forget to connect the second Power connector of the motherboard to the PSU! Could it be this the problem and the cause of the instability of the MB? I hope this was the problem.

which second power connector? there's the 24pin atx, 4pin 12v and the molex plug.

how much airflow do you have going over the board? is the memory definitly stable?

Guys its normal, OVP is shutting it down, same thing happens with mine <1.5v. Only way I can get power after a shut down is unplug PSU and remove the 24pin for a few seconds. Major PITA.

AFAIK the only way to solve the problem is use less voltage to RAM and CPU (or volt mods).

There's new 3.10 bios available, you can download it via MSI Live Update.

Found at least one improvement over 3.12 beta, makes HT stable at 1000MHz.

    Yes, that is 3.12.

3.12 is newer than 3.10 but last one seems to be working better (at least for me).
