Athlon64 3500+ AM2 on DFI hit HTT 433MHz - prime stable! : SLI modded UPDATE!

I just set the new AM2 system.

DFI INFINITY NF ULTRAII-M2 (nForce 4 Ultra) no mod
    AMD Athlon64 3500+ (AM2) Orleans
    Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C3
    NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT
    Enermax Liberty 620W

    Cooler: GIGABYTE G-Power Pro

This motherboard is cool! I can set the HTT up to 433MHz prime stable.
(The max in BIOS is 450 MHz but no success )

Max VCORE in BIOS is fantastic - 1.850 V !! (I used only 1.350 for this test)
Max VDDR is 2.5V (2.4V is used)
Max VChipset is 1.8V (1.6V is used)
Max VHTT is 1.35V (1.35V is used of course)

VChipset higher doesn't make a difference?
Nice voltage options on this board, I specially like 1.85V Vcore Not even possible on my Gigabyte S939 :/

Max MHz that I can go with air-cooled (GIGABYTE G-Power, the only AM2 air-cooler compatible I have) is around 2.9GHz

    Here is the CPU-Z Validation.

already tried at 3GHz, stucked at winXP welcome screen

    how much was the cost?

thanx for sharing and keep the information coming, my interest is certianly peaked with this board.

    DFI AM2 !!!

I don't know why no one noticed. There are NO DFI Am2 boards in NA atm. Thats a first look at the board.

Though the Epox nf4 ultra has four phase power...:

...the DFI, as always, has better placement of components :

First, get a better chipset heatsink and then make 450MHz happen. Stable of course.

Second, every Nforce4 chipset is moddable to SLI. There's just a kind of epoxy on the contacts. You can scrap the epoxy off and then make the connection.

Thank you for your suggestions, I will try again with better cooling solution.

    Good news...

I try to mod this board to SLI capable, using the same trick as LANParty nF4 Series (socket 939).

    Take a look!

    Everything seems to be OK.

BIOS identifies the chipset as nForce 4 SLI !!
