So you wanna know part of how to pick a good Asus p5w DH?

if you ever think about getting asus p5wdh, go with the serial number before 123xxx; that's what I figured all day long. Previous p5wdh is 127xxx and 142xxx, same volt as below
    Vcore 1.53~1.55v
    Vdimm: 2.20v...
    MCH 1.6v
I even can't touch 3820mhz(382x10); however, look at the results below..
what can I say, I will have Dry ice run tomorrow

    3.95g same setting pi start,

    1m

    2m

    8m

    32m...not yet..
    but soon

you sound like you think i was being condescending but i am not
    i really am just confused

i just thought that these boards did 450fsb (on 9x though i think) without like LN2 or anything

am i wrong? 400fsb is big time? im in for trouble if so

Are you certain that 123 and below is always better than 127 and 142 and above, or is it just possible that you got one that's better than the others?

Interesting theory, we need some others to post their serials and max fsb so we can figure this out.

Just to confirm, is the sticker with this serial on the box or the board itself?

It's on the bottom of the box. Mine is 119703 and can do about 420fsb.

that doesn't make sense to me. When something is changed on the MB they are suppose to indicate a new revision. For example from 1.02G to 1.03G not by serial number....=

ok considering the fact that the PRE 127 serial numbers would be the very first motherboards off the line i think your really grasping at straws OPB
i respect your opinion guy but i think your reaching there.

and eastcoasthandle. its not a revision change on the mothebroard persay it would be more like the stepping of a cpu .. the week and date of the build could make it better.
i mean i suppose this could be true, i dont mean to dispute OPB's theory, the guy is usually right lol.
i would see it as the first shipment of boards being better than the 2nd shipment.
and if the early boards are better that would mean every board that anyone buys right now is going to be crap..
give it a couple more weeks see what happens

Please don't tell that to my OCZ Platinum 6400 Ram because it performs just fine with my P5W DH.

Maybe you should try and reseat it.
