Count me in.
I'm not sure what CPU i'll be using by august (or motherboard...my Asus P5WDH is close to being brutally murdered) but i'm sure i'll be using my X1800XT. Oh and i'll be in the air/water section please.
Great comp btw, good timing. Ready for the summer, with no pressures on me at all. Woo.

To avoid anyone wasting a lot of hard work, not supplying a satisfactory screenshot, please verify if this screenshot is acceeptable?
Does a 14.55% increase in score qualify for anything?
(The below screenshot is made during testing tweaks, and does not count as a submission by me )

Yup thats ideal mate. Can everyone else use this format please?
JRW am i ok to use this pic in the other threads?
No, you have to hit the exact percentage. Miss it and it doesnt count.

This is not a 3D contest. It's a patience contest.

it's true though. Getting that much accuracy is near impossible. It will involve just re-running 3dmark over and over again, hoping this time you get the right score.
Just think, for a minute.
Theoretical situation.
Stock GPU Scores (3dmark05);
9703
so i need to score;
10%; 10673.3
15%; 11158.45
20%; 11643.6
25%; 12128.75
Now i'm not complaing about the height of the scores, i'm sure the ball park's are all achievable. But look, they're ALL decimals, added to which, they are all really obscure numbers. For instance, i just searched the ORB, and no-one has EVER scored 12128. 12129 and 12127 but NEVER 12128.
If you want to make this fun, and fair, then you should have it at least in a certain range. So say 14.5% > score > 15.5% then it is way more interesting. That way, we have to score between 11109 and 11206, which gives us far more to work with, yet still makes it reasonably tough to achieve. That would be a lot more fun imho.
Just my (rather long) two pennies worth, of course.

I totally agree with don_vercetti.
Well put and sound arguments.
Ok further rule updates. To stop people whining (:P) you now have a 100 point +- cushion over each set %

1 thing .... i noticed that you can underclock your cpu for round 1 and then overclock it for the other 2 categories.
Shouldn't the cpu and ram speeds be the same in both cases ? That way i won't downclock my chip to 1Ghz and run 01SE then clock it to 3Ghz to run the benchmark.
Once i get my card Vmodded, i'm in.
This is where the pi times come inOriginally Posted by farksy
