Have had bad experiences with Ballistix Z503 and OCZ EL Platinum.
Any thoughts on what is the best DDR 2x1 giga kit? I'm aiming 270-280MHz with some reasonable timings...

Some nice Micron based chips can go that far with 3-3-3.

Given your processor CE/BE - 5/6 should probably work for you.
Or
you could use UCCC which is alot easier to work with and will not die on you.

I have reading about CE-6 and it seems to be picky with 3D. Otherwise 250ish is not so exciting...
