I think pictures can speak themselves.
But we need someone with X2 2.8GHz to run this test's and compare results.
Most of test Coolaler used is single or dual threaded so this should be fair comparison.

can anyone explain a bit why is it so good? i really dont know much about server benchs
there will be opteron 1xxx on AM2, not 2xxx. there will be a MP capable part for AM2 but it will not be an opteron in the consumer space.

I'm assuming goes like this:Originally Posted by dave_graham
EDIT: Looks like 10xx/20xx is s940, and 12xx/22xx is AM2/Socket F.
With this scheme, Deerhound will most likely be 14xx for quad core setup, 24xx for octa-core setup and 84xx for a quad quad-core setup (16 cores).
Lightman, socket f mobos cost $350 to $500. You can't pick one off just to start testing.

You left out an octal quadcore setup (32 cores)
All along the watchtower the watchmen watch the eternal return.
AFAIK, the opteron 290 (Q4) will be a socket 940 part but will be called an Opteron 290, not 2090Originally Posted by perkam
