    Intel's next screct weapon, Kentsfield XE, quadcore, unlock muliti

    Default freq :2.4G?2.93G? L2 4MX2

    Default Vcore:1.26V

    Muliti:6~15

    I tested working fine on INTEL D975XBX R302,see my Rig, and will post some test.

    My Rig

    CPU:INTEL Kentsfield XE
    Mobo:Intel BadAxe R302(mod support conroe)
    Vga:Nvidia Quadro Fx4500
    Ram:GeIL PC2-8500 1.8V
    HD:WD Raptor 150G
    PSU:Zippy 600W
    OS:win 2003 R2 32bit

    Maybe it's default 2.93G 8M L2 ?

    but,anyway...maybe soon we could see 4G+ quadcores.

    very cool, but I think that the fact that these new quad core chips are just two dual cores on the same chip makes it seem a lot less cool than initially expected. Though, the new single die implementations are going to be in effect later in 2007 based on the roadmap. I wonder if these dual die versions will have any effect on the ability for these things to overclock as well as a single die implementation or a dual core chip.

    Intel is out with their new tech earlier than AMD, just as nVidia is before ATI.

    As we all know things tend to balance when the "partner" catches up...

    Id like to see Quad-Core Optimized gaming benches though.

    Or even better. Ditch the physics cards and have 1 or 2 cores do the physics and have 2 left...
