    yup, infact , several monthes ago, according to intel's 965 blueprint, with ich8 won't support ide devices.

    but, there are thousands mails sent to intel from everywhere, " we really need a ide "

    so intel change their mind

    Wow...thats a big ol' heatsink on the Northbridge (that is the northbridge, right?)

    It also looks like it could accomidate (sp?) fans mounted to it. Does it really get THAT hot?

    humm the board look empty.. Don't like those kind of board layout. (look like missing feature)

    still funny to see Intel putting IDE port on their own board

    What about graphics features? G965 was supposed to support PS3 if I am not mistaking. Is it for Vista Premium or just Vista Basic ?

    I figured Intel had implemented an IDE port through a third party hard drive controller chip.

    Do you know for certain that they changed the ICH8 to include support for PATA?

    yup.

    and i find DG965 has "C1E" option, we can turn if off, when cpu idle , clock won't
    drop.

    1.175v , 2.9G.
    next step, find some vmod.really need new clockgen
