What to do if you meet someone of AMD:
Didn't think we'd be getting results so soon; nice work.
How about getting some screenshots of load and idle for each core and all cores with "Core Temp" running?
It got to be interesting to see some temps readings.

I hope there will be mainstream Kentsfields during H1 2007, lets hope Intel decide to go 1333FSB with them on or shortly after launch so there can be 1066FSB Quads for the rest of us. Sub $500 Quads! (..and who is dreaming now? )
Nah, you just plug your ears while they dream on about how bandwidth starved Intels are, and not being real quad-core.Originally Posted by SMa

Kentsfield is 2 Conroes so the heat output should be twice as high theoretically. That doesnt prevent it from OC'ing 33% on stock volts so I would like to see what temps really are, or does temperature meannothing to this beast?Originally Posted by The Coolest

Thanks for showing.
The new cray super computer will have 24K of AMD Quad Procs think 24K with Kentsfield

Probably not more then the PSU you need with a P4 660Originally Posted by Alante

Provide a link, becuase I'm pretty sure that is plain BS.Originally Posted by blossa
You are claiming there is a dual opteron system that can get 4000+ CPU score in 3dMark06? You sure you aren't confusing it with overall score? Or did the winky smily mean you were kidding?
Anyways this thread is about Kentsfield and the thread crapping needs to stop.
Thank you so much for all your work so far, Coolaler. I think alot of people would be interested to know about temps (is it 95W TDP and cooler from the picture?), as well as seeing some of the media and encoding benchmarks at overclocked speeds.
In particular I'm curious to see your tpMPEG encode of that file you have at 2.9-3.0GHz so I can compare it to your data from the 2.9-30GHZ Conroe encodes that you did.
Cheers!
Not mine but anyway:

Edit: If interested, this is my posted CPU-score (can only have one result published):

Wow, I didn't expect to see Quad core so soon.
This is getting ugly, kenstfield is Intel just twisting the knife they stabbed in AMD's heart with conroe.
Yea Quad Core's are nice when you want to do some rendering or/and encoding, for gaming and most other apps it won't be much of a gain at least for near future.
Coolaler - you have the BEST contacts dude, I cant keep up!
