SPI is single threaded, will be just as good on a regulair E6600... - LN2 for intial runs before he've maxed the other components out??

Coolaler, chance to disable 3 cores and use the 8 megs for only one core?

    I dont think so..

Its 2*die, so I think 4MB L2 is max for 1 core, but core 2+4 disabled = 2x fast cores with 4MB each

Conroe doesn't share the L2 cache between the cores? If so, SPI should benefit some, I just want to see sub-10s. If not, oh well.

And no... probably not LN2 for initial runs, but a man can hope that he's had Kentsfield for a couple days and is just showing his initial results?

The cache is shared on the die but I'm pretty sure it's not shared between the two dies. 3d06 will be jaw dropping

    Hmm..

Kentsfield is 2* DIE's, and another Intel nearly 2* the heat... This CPU sure wont overclock anywhere near as good as a regulaiir E6600... And still aint many threads thats multithreaded, however, the ones that are, this CPU will kick-but at

Rich, nah dont think so, but HE IS www.coolaler.com
