With this version I have entered a new partnership with Goodgame Studios, they're a German company who develops free-to-play online games.
This installer includes an option to choose whether you want a shortcut linking to their Empire online game website to be put on your desktop or not. As some of you may have had negative experiences with installers including 3rd party garbage, I thought it was important to let everyone know that even if you don't opt-out of this option, the installer will NOT install anything on your system except a *.url file and an icon.

Note:
Regarding Core Temp and Windows 10 Anniversary Update. This Windows release requires drivers to be submitted to Microsoft for them to digitally sign them, and this in turn requires the developer to have an EV (extended validation) code signing certificate. At the time of writing, I still don't have an EV certificate and I'm waiting for my certificate provider to start supplying them. As soon as I am able to acquire an EV certificate and get the drivers properly signed, Core Temp will be updated again.
Until this issue is resolved, Core Temp 1.0 RC9 should still work with Windows 10 Anniversary Update. You can download it here.
One more workaround, which I don't recommend, is to turn off Secure Boot in the BIOS.

There was a bug affecting everyone with non-Hyperthreaded CPUs from SB and newer.
Version 1.4.1 addresses this bug + adds the power feature to 22nm and newer Atom processors in addition to fixing the TjMax detection on Atom CPUs.

So what's causing the "driver load failure" on Win10 anyway?

Microsoft decided to change the way the digital signature in drivers is validated on a clean install of Win10 AU on newer machines.
Apparently, even though my driver was signed before the date of the supposed change, it seems to still fall into that bracket and therefore the OS refuses to load it.
The new digital signature requires a more expensive certificate, and the driver to be signed actually has to be sent to MS for them to sign it and then send it back to you (the developer)
I've been saving up for the new certificate and will be acquiring it soon, the process itself is probably going to take some time, though.
Whoever has this issue can still use version 1.0 RC9, it's the last version to use the older version of the driver and should work fine. It may not detect newer Intel or AMD processors, but temperature detection should still be just as accurate. If you click on 'More downloads' on the download page, you'll see an 'Older version' section.

Not yet. I was not able to get anyone to test it on Ryzen yet.
I didn't have time to see whether AMD released any tech documentation about these chips yet either, so I can only suppose that it'll probably work, but can't say with certainty.

I noticed a version 1.7.1 floating around with Ryzen support....must be beta/testing.....any chance of being able to grab it?....or when will 1.8 be ready please

Here you go Arthur a screen shot;

it seems to be working ok although all cores are registering the same temp? so not sure if it's meant to be like that. Temps seem to be the same as what HWiNFO64 is showing for tdie which is roughly 20C above what my mobo software is showing at full load (Asrock x370 Pro Gaming)

At stock core temp is showing my 1800X vid of 1.35 which is what is showing in bios for default vcore....but when I overclock it to 3.9 on all cores core temp is showing vid of 1.275....no idea why?

AMD processors only have one temperature sensor.
You can go to Options --> Settings --> Notification Area and change it to display the highest temperature.
