    Intel 670p freezes randomly

I'm getting some random freezes on my system. It doesn't crash, I can still move my mouse and open USB external HDD. But none of the programs that's installed on the c drive would respond. I brought up the task manager and see that the disk transfer rate is 0. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Thanks.

Download crystaldiskinfo and there is a few things you can check easily.

It tells you drive health and errors.

I cloned the OS to a WD Blue 1TB SATA SSD, it still randomly freeze, so I know that the Intel 670p wasn't the problem. Eventually I updated the BIOS to 7D25v1A, that seems to have fixed the issue.
