7000b mod, Just check the pic.

Mods feel free to delete this thread, i just noticed something a bit funny on this site and it seems like no one really wonder what kind of nonlogical thinking there is out there.

The Pci slot is blocking hes 7000b cooler so he takes it off and makes room for it.

Ummm call me stupid here... as I've never "removed" a PCI slot from a mobo like that... But if he/she cut away all those leads and didnt do any other damage to the board... Shouldn't it still work?

LOOL!! Well maybe. There are such things as fine-tip soldering irons and solder suckers, normally the first method, not the last.

    CPU not fitting? then

youl be lucky if that ever works again becuase all those pins touching one another has to F*** up something. Just take some wire cutters and snip all the pins about 1mm from the base and itl be fine.

yup he's lucky he didnt literally smoke the chipset and everything else attached to it.

he needs to go in and cut off avery single pin and put some non electrical tape or non conductive grease over them..

    god what a ing retard.

thats as bad as the picture of the guy, when the 7800's first came out, had an AGP board and CUT the pcb of the card to fit into his AGP slot.

he claimed.. when thats what the line in the pcb of the card is for where you slide it into the slot. and then had the balls to wonder why it wouldnt work.

Why's he gotta be stupid? He probably pulled it off with no power to the board, took a pic to be funny, then either desoldered the pins or snipped them off.

yup is 100% real but i think it worked 1 time only... why you would kill a mobo like that because your zalman doesnt fit in the video card.. instead of modding the zalman or buying a proper gpu cooling...

why waste a pci sot and instead just mod the cooler itself???

Why didn't you JUST get a different cooler? There's better things out there than Zalman my friend...and I agree, it was very stupid. And yes, you deserve to be called stupid. But hey, it's not our hardware...to each his own.
