    CPU limited in 3DMark 05 w/ XTX and 2.7ghz X2??

When my XTX (super badass card btw) was at 690/800 I got 12.5, and at 700/870 I only got 12580 ... CPU limitation then or???

BTW, my memory oc was with ATI TOOL not Ati OC so the timing issue shouldnt have been the cause...

Also... has lapping the core and/or applying AS5 really helped a lot? I cannot get passed 710 or so on the core even at 1.475 it seems even though my load temps stay at about 75c

I'm sorry could you be more specific? Are you saying it hasn't been properly warmed up yet ??? I'm unfamiliar with that notion... thanks for any info

If you push the RAM too far too fast you will see something like this. Keep the RAM at 800MHz, then OC core to 690 from stock, then 700 and bench again.

I see what I see, and you see what you see. I can't make you see what I see, but I can tell you what I see is not what you see. Truth is, we see what we want to see, and what we want to see is what those around us see. And what we don't see is... well, conspiracies.

Does that concept apply to core OC as well?

And on a side note, do you guys think its possible ATI Tool is over-estimating the volts it sets?

Reason I ask is, it seems to like 1.45 to be stable at 690 which is easily attainable in CCC with a supposed voltage of 1.4 or 1.425 according to madshrimps XTX OCing guide

Rephrasing, does what you're describing apply to the core and its speed also?

I guess it could, but I mostly got that problem with RAM speeds.

you need more cpu speed. 05 doesnt get a very big boost from dual core as opposed to 06, in 05 it seems like 100mhz on cpu nets about 200 points
