There is a record for each type of processor, in the top, the best of AMD & Intel.
    Venice 3000 / Epox 9NPAJ / Corsair C2PT 512MB / XFX 6600GT / Western Digital 80

    AMD FX-57 4170.06 before

    It's 4,2GHz now, isn't it?

4.1GHz is the highest validated clock as far as I know.

well CPUz is a must have imo - first of all screenshots only are a lot easier to make and from what I experienced you can gain 50 to 100MHZ WITHOUT CPUz verfication as you would reach with.
Secondly what we all don't want to hope but still possible: how you would separate fake from original? It isn't that hard at all to fake a screenie and nobody would be able to remark.
So my advise for you really is to be carefull which records to add.
I mean every "well-known" clocker such as the xtreme legends and some more would never do this and I wouldn't mind adding their scores but be carefull with ppl you don't know

I would say that the record dbase would www.hwbot.org - with over 10.000 results it's quickly becoming the de facto reference for world records with a large list of benchmarks, video cards and CPUs.

I agree, I don't want to break your spirit but there's no point in having multiple 'world record' sites.

Please correct me if i'm wrong, but in contrary to hwbot.org, you don't seem to offer:
    - bot scanning, you can just keep posting your results on your own favourite forum like you are used too
    - a large userbase of 2700 users, 11000 results
    - easy way to submit scores online, you don't have to mail/pm/post your results to some guy and waits till he feels like updating the list
    - an easy and clear way to browse and search records
    - support for teams & competition between teams
    - not restricted to one benchmark application, buildin functionality to add new ones.
    - competition between users, other only display who's #1
    - competition on hardware level, you don't need to have a <insert 600$ videocard here> to compete.
    - hardware statistics
    - image hosting with current ranking overlay
    - system for reporting fake results
    - ability to create signatures/avatars based on submitted results (check my sig)
    ...
    - virtually any feature can be added due to use of java technology, which is far less limited in use than php.
