    @G.S Technician

    I have asked a shop in Germany for this Gskill F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ and they have two kinds of them...the 0606 (confirmed D9) but also 0628 and 0629. Can you confirm that this 0628 and 0629 are still the same D9 chips as on the 0606? The difference is in package...the 0628 and 0629 are in a limited edition TIN or WOOD box

    Radeon isso é D9, já confirmei com o GSKill Tech

    Guys, Gskill changed serial numbering. From 0606 (month/year) they changed to 627 (1st digit is year and the 2 after are the week number)

    They are still Micron D9. I have 2 sets. One is 0606 and another is 627 and I see the same chips.

    Being the crazy ram addict that I am, I decided to fork out for 3x sets of this 2GB PC6400PHU2 2GBHZ Micron D9, all sets started with 6291 serial number and all modules'd ending numbers are consecutively numbered.

    So far did some prelim tests of these 3 sets to find max 4-4-4-12 at 2.2v vdimm on Intel D975XBX Badaxe rev304 (no volt mods stock) with Super Pi v1.5 and Memtest86+ v1.65.

    1st pair = 478mhz 4-4-4-12 at 2.2v (memtest started to error at 483mhz in test #5)
    2nd pair = 480mhz 4-4-4-12 at 2.2v (memtest started to error at 493mhz in test #5 and 483mhz in test #7)
    3rd pair = 478mhz 4-4-4-12 at 2.2v (memtest started to error at 490mhz in test #5 and 486mhz in test #7)

    Click image for full screenshots.

    1st pair @478mhz 4-4-4-12 at 2.2v

    2nd pair @480mhz 4-4-4-12 at 2.2v

    3rd pair @478mhz 4-4-4-12 at 2.2v

    All done in black dimm slots on Badaxe, haven't tried swapping modules in same dimm slot or trying the blue dimm slots yet.

    Will do a separate detailed thread of my adventures later on

    Mine are 627 and with P5W DH it can does this at 2.2v , i think is the 920d my limitation, i think i can do 1000 with 2.2 at that timmings with a better cpu or better cooling, in the moment the 920d is on air.

    Decided to solely play with pair #3 first tightening timings some but still at my board's max 2.2v vdimm. Looks like with 2.2v vdimm pair #3 ends up from memtest86+ v1.65 testing at

    - 478mhz 4-4-4-12 at 2.2v (at 486mhz there's a few errors in test #7 and at 490mhz a few errors in test #5)
    - 466mhz 4-4-3-8 at 2.2v (test #3 errors 1st pass 11 errs, test #5 passed 15 passed, test #7 passed)
    - 460mhz 4-4-3-8 at 2.2v (test #3 errors 1st pass 2 errs, 2nd pass 2 errs)
    - 440-443mhz 4-4-3-8 at 2.2v (at 446mhz there's 1 err in test #4 at 2nd pass - most likely needs more than 2.2v vdimm)

    As stated before 2x1GB modules at same timings and clock speed are at least 20 secs faster than 2x512MB memory modules. Look at this comparison between 2x512MB Corsair PC5400ULv1.5 at 9x357fsb and mem @446mhz 4-3-2-8 at 2.2v versus 2x1GB Gskill F2-6400PHU2 2GBHZ at 9x354fsb and mem @443mhz 4-4-3-8 at 2.2v

    vs

    Gskill with 443mhz 4-4-3-8 clock with 26mhz less cpu speed and 3mhz less mem clock speed is only ~2.3s slower than 2x512MB Corsair PC5400ULv1.5 @446mhz 4-3-2-8!

    If we ignore the 1 err in test #4 memtest for 446mhz 4-4-3-8 at 2.2v and do a 32M run, it actually beat the 2x512MB Corsair PC5400ULv1.5 @446mhz 4-3-2-8 at 2.2v by ~5.6 seconds!

    From my experience, if you can do dual 16M or 32M in Systool CPU benchmark (run 2 parralel tests enabled) you can do Super Pi 32M.

    Note: dual systool 16M test needs at least 640-680MB of free memory to run, dual systool 32M needs ~1.25GB of free memory to run!

    @446mhz 4-4-3-8 at 2.2v

    Seems in windows, Super Pi is fine with 460-473mhz 4-4-3-8 at 2.2v even with the memtest test #3 errors (a few really).

    @460mhz 4-4-3-8 at 2.2v

    @466mhz 4-4-3-8 at 2.2v

    @473mhz 4-4-3-8 at 2.2v

    dual stressprime blend @473mhz 4-4-3-8 at 2.2v

    Excellent modules

    Some of the fastest clock for clock Super Pi 32M v1.5 times I've done to date with E6600 on my unmodded Intel D975XBX Bad Axe r304

    All 1:1 CPU:MEM clocks

    3600Mhz - 9x400fsb 4-4-3-8 at 2.2v = 14min 21.531s
    3650Mhz - 9x405fsb 4-4-3-8 at 2.2v = 14min 11.656s
    3703Mhz - 9x411fsb 4-4-3-8 at 2.2v = 13min 59.218s
    3748Mhz - 9x416fsb 4-4-3-8 at 2.2v = 13min 48.610s
    3797Mhz - 9x422fsb 4-4-3-8 at 2.2v = 13min 38.062s (which broke my 3809mhz best of 13min 40.297s)

    Can someone please post here the full BIOS settings for this memory on a Gigabyte DS3? With the settings I am using I can do 930 mhz with stock voltage but somehow I believe I can do some improvements and reach 1000mhz on stck voltage...

    Wow i changed power supplies from 650W Silverstone SLI to my 1KW PCP&C SLI psu on this Hydrocool 200EX cooled E6600 rig and it seems my Gskill PC6400PHU2 2GB HZ pair #1 is clocking higher than it did on my other E6600/Intel D975XBX rig at http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?t=2928. On other rig at 2.2v vdimm with 4-4-4-12 timing the max for pair #1 was 478mhz, but on this rig so far been able to do 486-490mhz!

    I wonder if it's the better psu or the better Intel D975XBX Badaxe motherboard on this 2nd rig that is the reason for higher mem clocks ?

    Here's pair #1 at 486mhz 4-4-4-12 at 2.2v

    Also seems to have managed my highest cpu clocked passed 32M runs since changing power supplies. Not my fastest times but that can be worked on later

    @3882mhz

    @3886mhz

    from same windows session above two 32M times
