4-4-4-15 is the rated timings....Tras is not set in stone, many boards won't boot nice with a Tras at 8 or 10, Tony has already had them running 4-3-3-5 and got a lower score than 4-3-3-10 - 12, it all depends on your memory controller and system.

Tony, is it same chips as on.... Crucial Ballistix PC6400 ??? - Or do they STILL use D9??

Anyhow, I ran 4-3-2-1 442mhz 2.15v with my yonah, didnt test lower vdimm... - But sucky aopen board kept me from reachin' higher freq... - Anyhow... Aint it quite possible makin' 500mhz 4-3-2-1(4/8) at - lets say 2.4v??

2.2V (max on badaxe) gets me 4-3-2-4 at around 800, I have not had time to push the ram higher but i have a feeling i will see this around ddr900+. Infact I doubt i need 2.2V where i am and i will report exactly the speed and voltage some time over the next few days.

Badaxe is not the most tweakable board and is somewhat voltage limited. i am waiting for aw9d max off abit for the real push with ddr2 Intel.

best i can do with 2.2V with this cpu, it will not do 1% more on the overclock..LOL

This was easy for the memory, bench is unbuffered.

Is that a custom paint job or will all VX2s will have the heatspreader?

Ok, they are kind of growing on me. At first, I didn't know what to think, but they -do- look ok. Has a general release date been made known yet?

damn I need to get rolling with ddr2. I was going to wait for AM2, but this looks like fun! I love how we are pushing towards lower ddr2 timings.

    BTW nice job once again!

Definitely a nite set of sticks, although after I RMAed my first pair which somehow corrupted my Windows every once in a while despite being Memtest and Prime stable for over 36 hours under summer heat (even though I was expieriencing failures during cooler temps)... my RMA pairs would never perform as well, sometimes not even meeting rated timings (2-2-2 @ dDR500).

So there are a lot of companies coming out with VX2-like chips?

    Also Tony, you're reporting 4-3-2 @ 800, but is that better than 3-3-3 @ 800?

Lookie here for your other set of mem sticks... http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.aspx?i=2732&p=4

Is that a UV coating on the heatspreaders? Not that I don't like the spreaders, but I think it'd be a lot cooler if OCZ did more light effects rather than just color effects. You can't really see much of the sides while looking from the top of the sticks...you know what I mean?

that is a good point, and would definitly look sweet if it glowed nice and bright with some uv light, but how many of us actually have UV tubes in our comps?
