in holland they sell team value ram 1gb 667 rated 5-5-5-15 for like 70 dollars.
They are the same as the 512 mb sticks i tried and they overclock pretty much the same as the extreme ram's you have. i'm doing 718 mhz on 3-4-3-4 now, no problem. the only problem i have is my proc, It doesn't want to go higher without having to raise the voltage up to 1.7.

Well, I just ordered my 2x1GB DDR2-800 set from TankGuys

I should have retail results on a Bad Axe by week's end if I get these in time.

I thought OPB was talking about the 667 set?

Some of the time....this is another new set from Team Group. Slightly higher binned from what I know

If nothing else, it'll be interesting to see what retail samples will do.

He was. Although, he did make 1 reference to liking the 800Mhz kit even more.

My thoughts on the "real world" performance of this new Team Memory:

Let's all be honest, the micron cronus sets were a pretty big debacle. To be fair, the sets were all good, but there were lingering compatability issues, and lots of people had issues. Things got rocky, and a lot of people were dissapointed.

Now, the important thing is what we all learned from this, and I think Team took a very valuable lesson away. I can tell you that I highly doubt OPB's results are from a "cherry picked" set. If Team did that and set themselves up for a failure, they'd be out, and that's a BAAAAD business idea So, I think we'll find that pretty much all the kits are capable of getting at least very close to the results he's shown.

That being said, there are a few major caveats to point out. First, OPB is VERY good at this stuff. He's very skilled at doing just the right tweaks, and knows how to handle every setting effectively. So, the average Joe who knows nothing about memory overclocking is more than likely NOT going to get the same results. Furthermore, there is always the element of luck, and always the interplay between the other components of your rig, so all other things equal, people may not all get the same resutls.

Bottom line, is that yes, I think these sets should all be theoretically capable of hitting these speeds. Will everyone get them? Who knows.

If you have trouble, don't just give up and start demanding an RMA (you won't get it, we can't gaurantee any OC obviously). The key will be in being patient, and really working to squeeze every ounce of speed out. With that mind set, I think people should have very good luck
