    Exclamation Futuremark removed Conroe/Merom scores

They removed all scores without even letting us know anything.

Kinda disrespectfull to the top benchers who had scores up and wasted many hours of time and resources in running thier application.

Everyone please take the time to write Futuremark and let them know you want to see all scores and that is why we pay money to be "Pro"

maybe it has something to do with Intel not wanting the world to get a preview of the hardware, before its actually released?

Maybe someone got paid by AMD?

Well they might think as the AMD Fanboys do, it's not a released cpu so it shouldn't be valid? Well I don't know but it sounds rather disrespectfull to you guys who have benched like maniacs to show us the godness.

    Very stupid.

I'm pretty ticked about them removing I-Ram PCMark scores as well...

No one will write them. Most people wanted the scores taken down since it's not fair to people who aren't gifted with pre release hardware. A lot of "top benchers" don't have conroe yet. It's only fair. Just take pictures for now and put them on the ORB later.

Benching is a wonderfull and competitive activity and even though some have more money to sink into this it's still a pretty fair challenge of skill, knowledge and maybe a bit of luck.

When you bench with some hardware that is not generally available you suddenly don't compete with the whole world anymore you compete with a select few that have acces to this kind of unreleased hardware.

I enjoy very much the recent rush of WR's and great results by the new architectures appreciate and welcome the authors to further explore the limits but a WR is only WR as long as it is world available to purchase and exploit.

So it's anybody's choice if they publish this kind of results on the ORB, but my hat is off to The Stilt.

That's my take on it .. but i really can't figure it out if Futuremark does have the legal right to remove these scores as long as they are not cheating in any way.

AM2 was officially released 4 days ago and it's even available in eastern europe wich isn't really Akiba or Slim Lim Square.

SLI/Intel is another hot topic ... but that is pure marchitecture bs from both ATI and nVidia ...i just hope the market forces them to abolish this nonsense.

Later Edit: perry my thoughts exactly ... weee a close call.

    I got scared Futuremark withdrew 01se :o
In short, both AMD and NVIDIA discovered that their next-generation graphics cards are superior to each others' last-generation graphics cards.

We know people base thier buying decision on what they see on the ORB, Nvidia will sell better if people see it at the top despite the fact the image quality resembled a mud painting.

We all knew the horrid image quality of Nvidia and LODbias yet they never pulled those scores and they are the biggest BS scores of all.

They left up the 2K1 scores so that blows a few theories.

It was obviously WHINEY fanboys CRYING to FM saying:

"Waaahhhh... I just bough my uber-1337 FX62/AM2/DDR2 rig with 7900GTX/SLI and my AZZ is PWNED by some dude with a funny name and a single X1900XTX, waaaaahhh."

paying customers have a big say in the company's future.

I think the reason they removed conroe because it's not officially released.

In all seriousness, it's because AMD and their AM2 rigs are at the top of the ORB, minus the Conroe... this allows "top of the ORB'ness" for another 6 weeks. It's an important distinction and I bet the request to FM came directly from AMD or a large partner like Monarch or Newegg (because AM2= "Ever thrown a party and noone came?")
