Boinc 5.4.9 Setup Guide w/ Many Pics

BOINC 5.4.9 Setup Guide With Pictures

    Step 1.
Download the New Client 5.4.9 which can be found here http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php

Step 2. Select an Install type

Step 3. You are now ready to launch Boinc and setup your account and team.

Step 4. You now need to enter the project URL so it connects to Rosetta. The URL is http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta

    Step 5.
You will now setup an account with BOINC.

Step 6. You will hit next and it will communicate with the server then finally give you the OK that it is all good.

    Step 7.

Now you will run the CPU benchmarks.

    Step 8.
Look at your benchmarks. This particular one is with a sempron at 1.6ghz.

These are the results you can achieve with proper optimizations, look in the Rosetta forum for the Optimization Sticky. This is the exact same setup as above only with optimizations.

Now you will need to Join the XtremeSystems Team, So follow this link http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/te...php?teamid=727 and hit join team. Then you will use the login information that you created in Step 5 to login and join.

The Client automatically works on 2 Work units if it detects HT or 2 CPU Cores....no need to do anything but run the 1 client

    Nice guide ZX7891!
Maybe you can add a line, not to use the screensaver, its no use at all.

but I think maybe you should add in how to do the optimizing, I know it's easy but it'll help a few people out and won't take long
