I don't know if it's faster than the nvidia Go or not? But if it's mostly work and some games that should be enough, of course don't think about ut2k3 every maxed out.

The Radeon 9000 is the top laptop graphics card but they have a 128MB DDR version out.
Pro-Star makes pimp laptops, they always have the latest hardware (like built in coaxial TV input and built in mp3 player!!) This one features the latest Radeon 9000 128MB version, when it comes out on eBay, that is the place to get it, the ones that are a few models down and still have the 9000 are only like 800 bucks on ebay.

The mobile 9000 is actually just as fast as a geforce4 go 440 or 460. The ultimate right now would be the mobile ti4200 if you can find it anywhere.

That's about the fastest vid card you can get in a laptop.
Currently building my i7 920 rig
