If Antilles is 2x Cayman's.... wow, that would be a beast considering each Cayman XT is going to be in the 5970 range

Is display port 1.2 that significant? Or, HDMI 1.4?

I have a 27" dell. What does each actually give the end user..?

u can passive adapter dsub, and ati came out with the cheap one. its not like a 30" monitor would beable to work with 3 displays without DP as those cards i dont think come with dual link hdmi and i dont know of any monitors that are able to do over 1920 horizontal over hdmi

I know for sure a monitor would need inputs for both. I don't think there are any adapters yet. You would be sol on using it for your Dell.

Don't know much about port1.2 (Though reading about it on paper it sounds to be the future replacement for DVI), but HDMI 1.4 today is for 3d signals over hdmi. More HTCP orientated with 3d capable tv and source of course. Any monitor would need an hdmi 1.4 input to use it.

I would like to upgrade my HD5770 in my Vidock, and if I could save 30$ on a cable then that would be sweet, Iam not going to use it for eyefinity Iam just going to use my 2 24" for desktop use and then have my plasma connected for when I am watching movies or series.

    No official Antilles info.
Cayman XT only has 1GB of VRAM.
TDP of <300W is scary, though. GTX480-like power consumption from AMD? Then again 1x6pin + 1x8pin only...
Does increased performance in every segment means finally decent geometrical and tessellation perf. increase?

The only thing from TDP we know is that it should fall somewhere between 225 and 300. Could be 300, could be 225, could be 224 with an extra pin just for overclock headroom, etc.

Given that Antilles is 2x Cayman's, that should give you a good idea of where the power consumption should fall under

GTX 480 consumes only ~230 W. Not 300, as many believe. I would expect Cayman XT to consume around ~200-230 W in games, so it tops near GTX 480.

I would love to see GTX 480 consuming only 230W. I guess all reviewers were wrong then. We are talking max board power here, not some average.
