BIOSTAR TPOWER I45 BIOS FLASHING PROCEDURE
ABIT IP35 PRO HEATPIPE MOD
ABIT IP35 PRO BIOS FLASHING PROCEDURE
IP35 Pro: 9650@4000Mhz, par overclocker; Freezone Elite; 4Gb GSkill DDR-800@DDR-1068 (2 x 2gb); XFX 8800 GTS; Areca 8X PCIe in Raid 0 working at 4x speed; 4-250 Gb (single platter) 7200.10 drives; Giga 3DAurora case with side window.
Got some new memory to sort out my motherboard issues, this has helped me to get here, I stress this was a deathrun to push my board to the limits and is not orthos stable whatsoever, thanks to all the contributoirs here, I picked up a number of tips to help me on my way!

im able to system boot @ 4.6 ghz 511x9 but since 1.45vtt is the max it hinders any further oc.. just got this dfi p35 and idk all the ins/outs of it yet..
looking back @ mars the vregulators are incredible on that mobo
later today ill test the cpu on the giga dq6 p45..
So I am seeing a lot of folks above the recommended vcore and VTT settings of 1.41v vcore and 1.45vtt. Does this mean that those recommended limits have been debunked? I have a QX9650, essientially the same as a Q9650 with adjustable multi and diff stepping, but the voltage limits should be the same across all 45nm quads. Any thoughts?

And now some action NapalmV5... SS are nice, I want to see that thing work !!
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved
Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree
I dont run my CPU above 1.4V except for the odd 5 minute bench, when I did that 4.45 run I actually didnt know how many Volts it would take so over volted to be on the safe side, I did a 2006 run yesteday at 4.3gig on 1.375V (BIOS) ....1.36 (real) and she got through it OK, seems to be these chips get better as they "loosten" up.
I can boot to windows at 4.5gig, have not tried anymore than that....too scared, as I am on air the temps are getting a bit toasty in Orthos at that speed

That's friggin amazing that you are over the 475Mhz FSB wall and then going past 500Mhz with a quad, simply amazing. I am assuming you are not using any exotic cooling like phase change or LN. Anyway, what is your VTT voltage set at and what GTL references are you using? I may try to push my chip this week since I haven't really done it yet.
Thanks,
Utnorris

WaterFlex - thanks
Utnorris - thanks.. oh ive stated several times air/ifx14 cooling.. no water/phase/ln2
what vtt? forget about it.. you guys wanna faint/end up in the er? lol
no gtl tweaking whatsoever.. may play around with gtl to os boot @ 4.7ghz
just listen to your cpu.. itll let you know what it needs/craves

Nice to see 500FSB becoming not so hard like before
Napalm......VERY nice, I see I need to do a little more, havent played with Vtt's yet, just left it on auto, maybe I will raise a bit to lower VCore a bit (hopefully).

You need a GTX260 .....and that one was just at 4gig.

Actually, what he needs to do is add another 4870 or trade that 4870 for a 4870x2,

Utnorris - yeh but the issues associated with multi gpu cards is whats keeping me away..

heres that 4.7GHz.. same everything..
more than just a ss
how i got to 4.7? patience..
cpu wants to go even higher but this is the end of the road for the mobo on air..
