    Very nice budget board Pt1t. Can you do same FSB with that xeon on this gigabyte as on 965 board?

    yep , i hit the fsb wall of my xeon @ 565mhz fsb (25° water), like my DFI , P5bdlx ... But i dont know if i m going to test all motherboard under -100°

    Maybe one of both Giga , and the both P5k , -> and this WE under LN2 , i hope my xeon will do 600*9

    Nice results, but with those timings it feels a bit wierd on the DDR3. Those Ballistix Tracer mem, what chips? D9?

    And my DDR3 does 1450mhz 9-9-9-24 @ 1.8v

    No This board is the fastest , and P35 I own have all different maxmem ... from 710 to 759mhz

    uhm, wait a minute... I thought Xeons only work with ECC ram? and that they only work in server motherboards???

    That was the case long time ago

    Nowadays there are Xeon CPUs for desktop mainboards and sockets. Its said that they consist of better silicium compared to the desktop chips, but I cant say that that is true.

    But the name sounds better

    yep , this xeon is exactly the same cpu as 6600
