Google came up with loads of stuff but i'm still none the wiser.

This was taken from a link about the Xeon

Systems with Echo TPR Disable (R/W) bit (bit [23] of IA32_MISC_ENABLE register) set to '0' (default), where xTPR messages are being transmitted on the system bus to the processor, may experience a system hang during voltage transitions caused by the power management events.

    Implication:
This may cause a system hang during voltage transitions of power
    management events.

    Workaround:
It is possible for the BIOS to contain a workaround for this erratum. The BIOS workaround disables the Echo TPR updates on affected steppings.

Thanks to Jimmor and Victor89 for posting links to the modded bios.

Mmmm, nice to see Speedstep and No-Execution options back again :>

Well, but is there tehnicly possible to add, for example. Logos and such a things in Boot-up fhaze, laike it is in ASUS mobos. There is some Video-card Logos, eitch could bee added in mobos startup, but there is no options to do that :>

Antway modded BIOS works fine, only users should Power-off mobo and then turn it on again, no just oress "Restart" button.

I don’t think so, I’m not using it myself as I do not need it.

These guys have solved that problem with their mods, read thread & ask questions.

    SLI on 775Dual-VSTA???? Maybe LOL!

SLI using AGP and PCI-e cards simultaneously is possible on a similar board.

Can we have someone try this on this Mobo?

    Unmodded i'm pulling 300fsb so far. 2x512 OCZ PC4800 TCC5 @ 2.5-4-3-8-1T 2.6v 300mhz.

305 might go but 310+ just locks at POST.

    GTL=Auto

Do you think that there are gains to be made with the GTL settings?

Not exactly "no mods", since ProStock's posting actually shows Vagp has been increased (presumably by pencilling mod) to 1.8v !

My Apologies I have misquoted the original post by stating that is was with no mods.

    My Real Bad?

    I have edited post accordingly.

I have my old Asrock 775Dual-Vsta motherboard I'm tempted to try with an E4400. It won't overclock with messing up the pcie/sata frequencies. But if I ran the E4400 at 2.66, then I suspect that the pcie/sata frequencies would be normal, instead of overclock shifted. Since the memory dividers change at 240fsb, perhaps at 2.66 everything'd be normal even if the chip was overclocked. Any thoughts?

    Unhappy

    Sad Sad Day

Asrock has just killed the 4CoreDual-VSTA and replaced it with 4CoreDX90-VSTA.

DDR only single channel memory I think PCI-e only.

    Vcore mod

100kohm between these two points. Lower resistance -> higher voltage

Really looking forward to playing with this board, upgraded to BIOS v 2.70 from shipped one and have now have control over my x6800 unlocked multiplier!!
