Can you possibly tell me which chips are Geil 2x1GB 4-4-4-12 DDR667 sticks based on? Do they overclock well? Do you have any info about the PQI Turbo DDR2 533 3-3-3-8? Chips? OC potential?
And one more piece of info for those, who want to buy Patriot LLK667 2x1GB - they are based on the Elpida chips.
.
More info can be found here
You link to the answer that you need...Originally Posted by mach82
Read and find: Elpida.
Read carefully - I want some info about the Geil and PQI sticks - which I'm unable to find. I also provided some info for those who want to purchase Patriot LLK 667. So the link doesn't answer my questions - it was attached as a sort of help for those who don't know which chips Patriot sticks LLK667 are based on. So I still look for some information about Geil 4-4-4-12 and PQI turbo 3-3-3-8.Originally Posted by SMa

square BGA, tiny dots on top left corner and bottom right corner, bigger dot on bottom left corner = Elpida IC
square BGA with just one brown dot on bottom left corner, rough surface = Micron IC
correct me if I'm wrong
Just got these:Originally Posted by Pt1t
Seem to be the same D9DCN chips, but simply on 1GB sticks. PC4200 CL4 ECC![]()
Can't test them ATM, as I still need a board and CPU, but hope to get them to at least 1000(DDR of course) 4-4-4-X with about 2.3V. In a few weeks I'll see what I can do.

Interesting, I got those Patriot 667LLK 2x1GB and pulled the heat spreader on side. Guess what I found? Micron D9! Not the fat body of course, but the regular square one!Originally Posted by mach82

I'm re-doing my H2O setup, but I'll hopefully try OC them... My poor PD 805 can't go very high on air...![]()
Here's some pics..
First the Product:
Next, popping off the side heat spreader...
Finally, Micron D9!!
So what can these babies do??![]()
Nice! The whole XBL series is supposed to have D9 but seems like some didn't get it![]()
