A E5200 is a good overclocker and can be bought for $85 now, not much more than lesser models.
I have bought dozen's of computer parts off Ebay and have never gotten a dud. I normally buy off an individual rather than a company, as you can communicate with that person directly, know their name...
2.1v is ok, especially for short term testing. Some performance ram, like my Crucial Ballistix, are rated to run at 2.2v. I run mine at 2.1v, 24/7. You will never be able to o/c your system to run...
To eliminate your ram as the problem, try running your ram at 2.1v, set the timings to 5-6-6-18, and set your ram tRFC timing to 54 (my ram defaults to 36 tRFC on AUTO which causes instability on...
I'm having the same problems with mine. My UD3R often does this endless non-boot routine with it starting up and stopping. This seems to happen when you try an overclock it doesn't like. Perhaps this...
I think 74.1C is the maxiumum cpu temp, not the maxiumum core temp, which is probably more like 95C.
I got my new E8400 E0 this afternoon, and so far I'm pretty amazed. I thought this cpu was a dud at first, as it would not boot above 4.0 GHz at any voltage. Then I turned down the VTT to 1.1v and...
My system failed to load Windows after a bad o/c. It would boot up fine, and Safe mode was fine, but the screen would go blank when Windows tried to load. Turned out my graphics driver was corrupted....
I just bought 2gb Ballistix from an Ebay store for $20 (PC2-5300), which they guarantee are .16fe2 double-sided, brand-new factory sealed. Although these are 333 MHz ram, being D9's, I expect them to...
I'm pleased to report that my endless reboot issue and poor overall performance of my UD3R was due to a bad stick of ram. They tested ok in my old system a week ago, but one of my beloved...
I will try that ratio flyfisher. I just got a new UD3-R board, my first Gigabyte. I also have the endless reboot issue that FatGuy 1992 mentioned, having to turn off the power to get into bios....
You could try increaseing the MCH (northbridge) voltage to 1.3v or 1.4v, which might help stability at higher clocks.
I have the P5K-Deluxe also, and am tempted to upgrade to P45. I believe the P45 is supposed to offer better memory performance over P35. But in the memory latency charts posted by o/c'ers, they don't...
I have found using 4 sticks of ram requires the Northbridge voltage to be increased to 1.55v for stability (at 4.25GHz). I was at NB 1.25v with 2 ram sticks, but with 4, the NB needs more juice. I...
I got an E8400 EO, but I think it was a lemon. It would continually crash my system when benching and was not stable at 4.25 GHz with 1.37v load (1.4v set in bios). I have had 5 different E8400/E3110...
Nice thing about the E6750 is the L2 cache is about twice as fast as the e8400 C0, and the E0 revision is even slower yet. This is how the Wolfdales get to 4GHz or 4.4GHz so easily.
I have the 2 x 1G Ballistix PC8500 and 2 x 1G of Crucial 10th Anniversary, which are both probably D9 GMH. The Ballistix 1066 are a little better than the 10th Annie as they need less voltage to...
How I read the Intel docs on the .45nm cpu is:
The maximum recommended voltage is 1.3625v.
The absolute maximum is 1.45v, but they warn of cpu degradation and premature failure at voltages...
I have the P5K-Deluxe/E8400, which I believe is very similar to the Premium mb. I strive for maximum performance at minimum voltage. I set most the major voltages at their lowest setting, except cpu...
Sometimes your virus checker comes on automatically once a week. I was surprised several times when Norton was running a virus check in the background while I was online gaming...until I turned off...
I wonder why your voltages are so high? I know quads take a bit more voltage than dual cores, but some o/c'ers have better luck with lower voltages. I would check out the numerous threads about Q6600...
P5k Deluxe is a great m/b, with good voltage regulation, is a very stable platform and can do just about anything a brand new m/b can...except for SLI/Crossfire which are better on the newest boards....
Make sure the on-board sound is enabled in the bios.
I would also re-download the sound card installion drivers double-checking they are the correct ones for your operating system and hardware.

While the E7200 might be binned lower than E8000's, I'd be surprised if all these bad o/c's were due to crummy cpu's.
I find the most common roadblock to o/c, is the ram...or trying to run the ram...
