So, I bought one of these cases, and they are magnificent.
The quality, even the multi-pass paint, is perfect.
I've been modelling one up in inventor for a while now, when I got some spare time,...
1. For a 1.5mm gasket you'd be looking at a groove depth of 1mm and a width of 2.1mm.
2. The top and bottom peice should lay flat on top of each other when fastened together, and the oring...
Sorry guys, It's been a while. My workplace went under and had to find another job. took 2 months and had to sell a few things including my computer to make ends meet, unfortunately. But, I have...
it's all good Gimmpy :) I'm stuck at the moment too. this case WILL see light, it's waited 3 years already, a month or 2 won't kill the dream :)
If you are able to strip the thread in the first place, you're torquing the bolt way too much for its purpose.
I've never had issues with m3/m4? you can get variant pitch sizes, m3 comes in .5 ...
sorry I haven't had an update in a while, been pretty busy. Probably have to find a new job soon, the business I'm with will probably be going under in the next month or so, so I've been hunting...
Lol it's a massive coincidence. I spoke to Jim from caselabs and they had this in the works before they knew of your case lol I agree the case isn't really distinctive looking, I would buy both...
Was just thinking the same thing. Protocase got back to me after having a good look at the files saying they are unable to do some of the bends, I'm assuming it's the pretty much nil-radius bends,...
I've had a look at other motherboard tray retaining systems (a component of the case that the motherboard tray slots or clips into for extra support, and most of them are too complex to manufacture...
I thought as much, I was finding it hard to locate the gigabyte board. Cheers :)
That case is gorgeous neo :) you may not think its refined, but apart from some proper hex-patterned mesh for the rads, it looks amazing :)
Touche' but full rpm, zero noise, 64cfm....not bad.
So I have a choice of these two boards. I've spent a couple of days searching around, looking at all the boards, reading reviews etc and these two seem to come on top.
I've not built a system...
Coincidentally, this is what i put in my email to them lol. My last post is wrong i meant to put down I requested a quote for a 1 off and a short production run of around 50-70 cases to get a...
it wont be 1500 per case, just for the one off prototyping, for when they have to write their programs and make their tools for a production, after that it will be about 50-70 per case, and I'm...
So I have some very good and very bad news. It depends how you look at it.

I got quoted by caselabs and protocase and legend to manufacture micks case,...
They make gentle typhoons sound like an actual typhoon, there is practically zero noise at full rpm. I agree the price point will be a killer for a lot of people though.
I've seen a lot of good fans in my time, and although this doesn't have a huge air flow, 64cfm is still a decent amount of air, especially at below whisper levels.
Thought some people may be...
I'm almost done the modeling, got everything but the radiator holders and the PSU bezel done, then i'll go over everything with the collision tool and make sure nothing interferes :)
After utilizing data from standardized sources, the IO panel and PCI slots all line up and fit perfectly :)

EDIT:...
There doesn't seem to be much discrepancy between our hole placements, and there is a 0.1mm tolerance on hole placement generally (which is absurd, I don't like working with tolerances that big)
...
I've called up Thermaltake Australia this morning and explained to them and asked them for the form factor standards documents for all areas of chassis design, and I explained to him about the case...
That's fantastic news :) because trying to find standards is ridiculous, and making a motherboard tray with an IO shield and PCI slots is more complex than I would have thought haha. I know why...
