I have the reference 290 blocks, so it's a no for me as the vapor-X block is longer and has the VRM's in another location compared to the original reference blocks.
Meaning if I do get the cards,...
I've got a particular issue that has arisen with the latest games, and being a triple display user with 1440p screens, the latest games eat video card memory for breakfast, lunch and dinner at the...
here's my latest build, but just 2 pictures to keep it simple.

The new home for the SR-2 build i did last year, only this time with a lot more cooling power( 5 radiators and 20 fans and 5 pumps) and using 2 power supplies, since a single silverstone 1500 watt...
Quick question?.....Can i plug the PWM signal wire( blue wire, swiftech MCP 325's), to a lamptron fan controler to vary the pump speed?....It's not so much the noise of the pumps themselves i'm...
Getting ever closer to completion with more cable management done, used automotive touch up paint(matte black) in certain areas to match stuff in the same color and the fan controler for the GPU loop...
keep it simple and the some pictures of the updated system:

The 4 HD7970's, water cooled and ready to rock.....:D

Received the pumps and acrilic top for the GPU loop and assembled the whole thing, and as usual a picture says it all:

Still nothing on the EK blocks from Dazmode.....He stated that EK simply underestimated the demand for these and aren't able to make enough of them at least for the time being...:(
And it rises from the dead, this time with new video cards and i'm waiting for the cooling parts to complete it by next week.....Ladies and gentlemen, a system with 4 HD7970's:
...
Time for this thread to rise from the dead, as there's some new hardware in it, and i'll beef up the cooling and reduce restrictions where possible, but first a picture of the new video cards while...
How's the ETA coming along for the full cover blocks on hd7970's?.....Seems stock for blocks from other brands are selling out so fast that getting 4 of them is like winning the lottery...:P
And...
I guess i'll have to bite the bullet and order from EK's shop directly, even though the exchange rate, shipping charges and duty charges are going to be brutal coming from slovenia to eastern canada...
Thanks for the information, now the last part is waiting until the blocks are actually in stock in canada, and ordering directly from your online store is brutal on shipping charges given the...
Quick question.....I got 4 HD7970's on the way and hopefully they'll be using these water blocks, but will the standard water cooling bridge between the 4 cards be available soon?.....Refer to this...
In terms of voltage requirements for a specific clock on GTX580's, and keeping in mind they are water cooled, what are most owners using voltage wise?....
I flashed the bios on the cards to...
I'd say easily in the 60~70 pound range....I am not taking this thing to lan parties that's for sure...:ROTF:
LiAN LI v2120x to be exact(all black interior), and yes it is a large case and started out with a lot of room to play inside, but sure didn't end up that way...:ROTF:
It's also heavy as hell too...
And i'm not touching it anymore....It's good enough...:ROTF:

And another update and it's pretty close to completed for the overall build...The water blocks for the video cards are installed, here goes the first picture

Single pump for the CPU loop(built into the top radiator along with the reservoir) and another pump for the GPU loop, once i get the GPU full cover water blocks....
Now i can't really say about...
I suppose it's possible considering that in my case, pretty much everything gets doubled up, from the extra CPU to 6 more memory slots for that CPU and all the Bios settings relevant to that CPU and...
Made another run with numa enabled using the same settings as the second picture in my previous post:
...
I made 2 more runs, with numa disabled using the largest problem size and maxed memory amount, and a second run using a more standard problem size and about 5 GB of memory and the results were...
Keep in mind though that with larger memory amounts also comes options to calculate larger problem sizes too, wich aren't even available to other LinX users if they don't have 24GB of ram onboard in...
