I experienced similar problems with my DQ6 before I sold it. I found the easiest work around was the second PSU solution, works a charm. :)
Looks good so far, I'm looking forward to your Conroe results. :)
I'm not using the same evap, I have a chilly1 myself, but maybe this will be of some help.
I avoided those gaps on the caps...
You're right, everyone's hardware is unique. I'm not asking to copy exactly someone's bios settings, I'm just asking for some tips as I've tried everything I can think of to get it to boot at higher...
To anyone with the DQ6, how are you booting at above +0.25vmch? I'm using the F3e bios and whenever I boot at +0.3vmch or above it will boot but won't show any video. I've seen others booting with up...
Sorry for the double post, but I've now had it with this board.
After testing on air and finding some settings that were 100% stable and bootable, I put my Mach II on only to find it wouldn't...
The biggest issue for me is the fsb. I've yet to be able to boot at over 340fsb and in windows selecting 350+fsb causes a lock up. Everyone seems to be getting much more than that, so I can't help...
At first, I quite liked this board, but after clocking, or should I say attempting to clock, my E6600 on it to I truly, truly hate it right now.
Big problems:
1. Booting/Restarting/Powering on...
Nice work. :toast:
Any mods to the board? What vmch did you use?
The biggest issues I want to see fixed with the DQ6 are:
When it restarts after you change your bios settings it will completely power down before starting up again. This keeps switching my...
Only promlem I'm having with the DQ6 regarding memory is that CPUZ cannot report the ratio or the frequency, not sure why this is as I'm using 1.35.
My HZ runs fine on it, only tested it to 510mhz...
I've had fun with my celeron so far.

Needed at least 250fsb to test my RAM at over DDR2-1000 on the largest ratio (1:2) so I thought...
I don't mean to hijack the thread, but what bios are you using irev? I'm getting my e6600 on Monday and currently have F3e.

Just ordered mine from Novatech - 25 remain.
I've not got my e6600 yet, still using a Celeron 326 as a stopgap, cooling is modded Mach II GT. :)
Just tested F3e on my DQ6.
You can now boot over 1.6vcore and you can boot at +0.3vmch, but not over.
It's getting better at least, before I got no boot at over 1.6vcore and over +0.25vmch.
Have you tried more vmch?
Is anyone else finding that when they save and exit the bios you get a full shutdown before it starts up again?
+0.3vmch and above still means no boot once you save it, however if you save then...
Thanks for the bios Benny. :toast:
Does this solve the issue of no boot at over +0.3vmch and 1.6vcore? I'll test this bios out later today hopefully.
Have you tried bios F3a? I've got this board coming on Tuesday so I'd be interested in your results with your e6600. :)
Nice results. :toast:
Can you boot at those settings or did you use clockgen? What is the max you can get to boot?
Hi Kitt, I've seen a few people are saying that the DS3 can run much tigher ram timings at a higher freq than the i975x boards. Can you confirm or deny this?
Maybe these tigher timings would help...
Excellent. :D :toast:
Nice results so far. :toast:
Is insulation tricky on this board because of the heatsinks surrounding the socket? Have you got any pics of your insulation?
