I just went up to 1.175 to match the 6970, I am gonna drop it to 1.1 and start finding max from there......

So far, 5235 900/1395 1.175 still on the core, not sure how high I dare go with stock cooler.....

Dont mean to be a :banana::banana::banana::banana:, but I didnt ask about overpriced intel crap......
My 200 dollar 6 core runs just fine......

6950 running 6970 clocks/shaders

After adding this to AB cfg:

I flashed to unlock shaders, games run fine, temps rpetty good, using MSI AB to control fan, but, when I boot, the text on the screen has little speckles around it.

My 6950 XFX will be here soon, is it more advisable to just unlock shaders, or actually flash a 6970 bios????

A buddy says he been reading a lot about people using the 6970 bios and frying there...

Ok, I got sick of seeing vcore jump to 1.5, as reported by aida64, HWmonitor said 1.4something was highest.
Anywase, set vcore to 1.32, enabled LLC, running LinX vcore jumps to 1.36 and pretty much...

It is set to auto....

Run up the NB to 2800, passed 5 Intelburntest's.... Going to play some games to make sure it is still stable, dam the luck..... :D

Any ideas why as soon as the CPU isnt loaded anymore, the VCore...
