It IS a real world test. If the card fails, the overclock means NOTHING.
Hardware has to be stable no matter what software stresses it- else it is unstable and worthless...

Hmm, try EVEREST and check your temps. I don't think air cooling can handle 4Ghz quadcores @ full linpack load. I have highend watercooling and still get 72°C on max load on ONE QX9650@4Ghz....

"next generation" means nothing. Can be a completely new chipset, which is very unlinkely, or it can be 780i, whose existence is useless to deny, since the asus 780i mobo is already listed.

FYI, i just called EVGA germany and they told me they KNOW that there are problems with Yorkfield and 680i mobos. P31 is NOT the bios that will solve all the problems, a NEW bios will come out...
