I would just get the 512. The pro is insanely fast to begin with, and since all you are doing is o/s and programs on it, no real need.

I think that's a really good theory. I have heard in general that SB/Ivy have very robust memory controllers, but I'd be willing to bet that vcore is toward the bottom of the list in terms of voltage...
