bump the vDIMM about .2v, run 2T command rate, and loosen your timings to 3-4-4-8 for testing/stability.
XP and Vista 32bit will only see about 3gigs since it can't address...
3.2 seems to be my top (1.425v) w/o really pushing some volts. 400FSBx9, and the rig is running happily!
btw, to anyone who's looking to save a few pennies on power and a touch more security...
my top OC (e6420 @ 1.425vCORE) is 3.2gHz @ 400FSB with all the CPU settings in BIOS set to disabled as most...
the 2900 will be making a move to 65nm process. not exactly sure of the time frame but i think it was slated for late this year. at that point im sure it be called something different. (2950xt??)
how loud is that case? i was thinking of getting one.
ok, i got the Asus HS fan, popped it on the HS nearest the back of the case. here's the results, my CPU cooler is the Noctua NH-U12F. Case cooling is stock Gigabyte Aurora cooling. 100% loads were...
well i dunno what to say about that. all my settings are as you see them in the benchmark and in my sig...?
what OS are you running?
___EDIT___
Diamond just changed the specs of the 2900XT...
great results eva2000.
gives me hope that i can get more out of my OCZ Platinum chips which have turned out to be pretty disappointing. cant run DDR2-1000 4-4-4-15 with 2.35v or 5-5-5-15 at...
i see the product info on their site, but no "buy it" link.
GPU is 825 (up from 740 on 2900xt 512)
Mem is 1100 (up from 825 2900xt 512)
guess they're going after the GTX with this card aye?...
yup. 7.5 doesn't add any significant performance boost at least with the tests ive been running.
(HL2:Ep1 Bench, Call of Juarez Bench, 3d'06, Unigine v.4)
drivers aside, the 2900xt is a slug....
hm, ill have to try those black slots. guess the NB has a clear favorite channel, at least on your MB. guess Intel MB's aren't as picky about ram as AMD chipset boards are. (make sure you use the 1st...
call of juarez dx10 benchmark ate my rig for bfast. Vista 64-bit. stock 2900xt speeds.
just popped the option tab to "high" and ran it.
i actually ordered a couple from asus. ill do a before and after test and post once i get it.
the HSF is hot, but i've never encountered any stability issues whatsoever, and can say whole...
since guess's CPU is at a blistering 4.7gHz (what cooling?) i think the results dont really show what the cards may be actually doing, as well as show what the average OC'er should expect since most...
any other suggestions about settings?
yeah, i noticed that HS gets super hot.
ive been looking for any info on where to buy the optional Asus "side-flow" fan that goes on top of the heatpipe NB cooler as well. while my CPU never goes...
yup. im at 400FSB 3.2gHz 1.425vCORE on my E6420. happy there. dont feel like roasting my cpu. ;)
just try and keep the ram at 200mHz using dividers and stock timings until you find your cpu's top OC. the Toledo should take up to 1.5v on air, but watch those temps. keep her under 55c load which...
i would like to see some 4x and 8x AA testing between this GDDR4 card and the GTX. im sure it looses.
anyone try to install the sound / LAN drivers from the Asus website? the installer says its not ment for Vista 64 even though I DL'd the Vista 64 drivers...?
also, im noticing that SuperPi might...
good article on the effects of different slot combinations:
http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/03/27/pci_express_scaling_analysis/
seems the biggest loss is when using 4x. the article also shows...
nice, are you saying that there is no real need for a bump in NB voltage until 450+?!
that would be amazing.
Got a stable 3.2/400FSB out of my e6420 (1.425v), but would like to see if there's anything i can do to either get a few more mHz out at my current vCORE or anything to tweak to get better...
unless the retail version is clocked higher i doubt it (at 4/8xAA).
