Probably there no difference between those platforms. Since there is no difference between 890FX and 990FX:

I think you should wait for Piledriver. I have 1055T and I had an opportunity to test FX8150 and x4 970 on my board. At the same clock speed 3,6GHz there was almost no difference (1055T...

@ Davey
I cannot say anything really bad about those new bioses. Cannot say anything good either.
Best clock I could reach was made on 2.42B (HTT=275).
On 2.10 (880G AM3+) I cannot reach more than...
ASROCK just released official (not beta) BIOS with AM3+ support for 880G/890GX Extreme3:

After a day playing with L2.01 for 880G Extreme3 ... I can say that:
- they have removed stupid "Turbo 50" overclocking in L2.01
- Memory Timings have only important settings (Asrock removed...

I am using K10Stat for my private Cool&Quiet. I do not know how C&Q works in Asrock BIOS. If I turn it ON it changes the clock and voltage automatically but if I turn it OFF it changes the...
Rising SB voltage helps me stabilizing OC after HTT=250MHz. If you have a RAID or you use SATA3 device rising this voltage to 1.2V is a must.
@ Davey
NB voltage affects only IMC and helps with memory stability. Although my 1055T has very bad IMC so after 1.275V i saw no difference.
mGPU at about 1.25V helped me with stabilizing FSB at...
@Davey
Your clocks are great. I didn't tested 2.42B as I should. Those settings (PSI_A, PSI_EN, OVP, Droop Adjust, VCore Offset) freaks me out. How did you set them?
Anyway... on regular 880G...
Unfortunately Asrock is releasing new BIOSes only for motherboards with AM3+. They have made 880G/890GX Extreme 3 obsolete. Latest bios for 880G Exteme 3 was released over a year ago (6/24/2010).

The bios you have posted is for 890gx extreme3. On website is mislabeled as a bios for ASRock 890FX Extreme 3.
@oneb1t
I have already tried to modify 890GX 2.51 BIOS without any positive results. I was transplanting modules from 880G 1.71. Also my experiments with AGESA transplantation from Asus Crosshair 4...
Nope. It is not the one. TREF and TRFC are different timings. On TRFC0 I can set 90/110/160/300. Already tried TRFC at 300 and HTT wall still exist.
I have the same problem with HTT wall on Asrock 890GX Extreme 3 (at HTT=269). Somebody know how to set tRef in Asrock bios?

I think someone will invent mod changing AM3 socket to AM3+.
It will be similar to good old FCPGA mod for Pentium III Tualatin

Hello Ket,
There are some things that I found about AGESA:
- AGESA version goes always with compatable MEMINIT version
http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-MEMINIT-BIN
- bios-mods have Agesa...
Try to use MMTOOL v3.22 BKMOD from HERE.
Can you send me your BIOS (or upload it somewhere). Maybe the problem is the bios itself. I'll try to extract it and check what's wrong.
I will help you...
@Ket
I just don't know what you are doing wrong. First you must extract 1B part in uncompressed form using MMTool:

@Ket
I've got no problem at all with splitting Agesa from 1B. Try to use latest version of splitter (AMI BIOS 1B Module Extraction and Insertion Utility):...
You have right Ket, but I cannot stop until I do what I've planed. It doesn't look that hard, because there are some ready compilers/decompilers for 1B.

- decompile properly...
