I think that where the Temp is read by the Core Temp. is a diode in the processor whereas the temp that shows up under other programs as the cpu temp is actually a motherboard sensor. So obviously...

41 degrees Celsius idle

100% load = 47 degrees

Idle = 41 degrees

Yup thats one of the tools i am using. It still shows 47 degrees in each core.

Plus I am using a Thermaltake Big Typhoon with Arctic silver!!!

I have a P5W and a E6600 and using Core Temp it shows my 2 cores being 118 degrees F!!!!!!! That is under a load WITHOUT OVERCLOCKING!!! In other programs it shows it as being 90 degrees!!
