Hi guys (and girls!!)

Just a word to say i'm still crunching, and always trying to push more and more!!

Great news, I've got 2 new crunchers at work : P4 2.8 GHz Northwood and P4 3.6 GHz...

From what I read, best crunchers are :

- Highest CPU frequency
- Highest CPU cache

My Prescott 3.0 GHz / 1 Mb L2 Cache / 512 Mb RAM has an output 30% better than my Northwood 2.87 GHz / 512k...

Maybe BoincPE ............. It even has a "persistency service" to keep data saved over your network in case of reboot etc...

Any news I may have missed?

I do run a P3, and I do think it's not really worth it based on points/watt... but I'm a points-whore...

I've been quite surprised by the power of an Athlon XP, if only they were Hyper-Threaded...

Roxio?? Could it be Raxco.... If I'm not mistaken, Raxco = PerfectDisk defragmentor.... When running before Windows load, it is defragmenting system/boot files, and it's a bad thing to shut the PC...
