You could try Piotres. He is from poland and makes some of the best linesets you will come across.
I think you will find Peen that most of us old DFI guys gave up running this mobo long before DFI made it clear that they had given up on us.
I know a 5970 runs fine at 16x on this mobo, but...
The bios chip on all DK boards is soldered on.
If you have borked the bios you can flash it with an Eprom flasher. If you havn't got a flasher you will have to send it back to DFI to be re-flashed.
@mytekcontrols, Over the last year or so i've ordered 3 cans from DIYtools. Yes i am in the UK, but had no probs with delivery or the valve either.
Would be interesting to see how it works out from...
My 975 tops out at 5ghz HT on 24/7 stable................but my SS holds 300w with ease. It is 3d benchable at 5.5ghz, but with HT off.
I think you will really struggle to hold any sort of decent...
Great idea noob. When i built my first SS a couple of years ago, most of the guides and links here were of no use at all.
Luckily, there were peeps here in the UK that i could talk on the phone with...
No, not keeping them low :). They were all identical to the first one, so not much point in posting them anywhere.
One was for me as a backup and the other 3 were for peeps that asked me to make...
Yes i've built another 4 SS's since the first. At the early stages of 2 stage Cascade at the moment.
The K-Type you linked to is fine. It's actually rated down to -150c and most of us use them...
@MaRtle, got a Fluke 51 II here. I'm only in Stourport-On-Severn, so if your free on Sunday i could pop over and and give you a hand.
If your short on tools, then let me know, got all the tools you...

The XE II probably isn't worth bothering with on todays CPU's. It was designed for single core CPU's, it might be worth converting it to cool a GPU though.
The Vapo LS will cool single and dual core...
Looking good Peter. Shall be keeping a close eye on this build because i've got 2 large Rotary's sat here waiting for something to be done with them.
Nice build tiborrr. I would like to know though how you could have done a thorough evac including the build in 8 and a half hours ?
Can i please offer a word of caution here. I also bought the 3.0 CFM pump linked to about a 18 months ago.
These pumps are manufactured in China (that's why they are so cheap). The one i bought...
I've been running an E8600 at 5ghz since 2008 under phase using a modified Mach2 GT with no problems at all.
For a substantial amount of that time it has been run 24/7. So i would say it is...
^^^^^^
Got to say Norman, that is one stonking clock. Congrats on it mate....................................will it do anymore ? :D
+1
Even with a 6 core cpu running with HT on i would expect a higher Gflop's score than that.
I don't think so dejanh. As Noctua are planning to give away free upgrade kits to current 1366 owners, it must be a fair assumption that the two mounts are different.
That said, as runmc has said,...
Yep......................just about what i found as well. So far i've had a 920,975 and the current 990x. All of them scale the same as far as Gflops are concerned.
The only way to push for higher...
Ok, just got my 100 Gflops clock up a bit.

I would defo say 914 then.
I would say 914........................but it really depends on what ram you have onboard.
