AMD/ATI PR has arrived. Are they so desperate?
No offence but starting a NOOB topic in the XTREME overclocking forum is a bit stupid (notice xtreme as opposed to noob).
Why don't you do what every noob does in the beginning: read.

memset works fine here
Crucial PC5300
so you're suggesting that upping the PCIE frequency results in a higher vgpu?
I've tried 120Mhz but that corrupted my SATA. I'll try with an IDE HD tonight.
That's not logical. Vista emulates dx9 through dx10, so according to you they emulate the dx9 aero gui through dx10????
That's not true, vista should be faster because the GUI is shut down when running games. It produces less overhead so more resources are available to games.
The only reason dx9 games will be slower...
if you don't have a dx10 card aero runs on dx9 yes
according to someone at nvnews, 3dmarks scores are higher in vista.
you can test the dx10 capabilities with the aero engine

The most anticipated driver ever has finally been released/leaked or what ever you may like to call it.
8800 Users can now rejoice in...
It's not even called K8L, it's called Barcelona. k8L is made up by Intel.
how many volts on cpu and ram?
and what was your max oc at room temperatures?
Excellent guide but you really should learn how to spell NVIDIA correctly.
IRQ conflicts. It's really annoying. Changing your PCI card to another PCI slot after the first crash during installation also helps.
The PCI slots between the two PCIEx16 slots are sharing an IRQ,...
Remove your PCI X-Fi card during install.
Nvidea? What's that? Something in Indeana?
Ontopic: the question is stupid, why are 8800GTX cards so expensive, why are Intels EE editions so expensive, why is PC8800 RAM so expensive, why are...
Did you install the sata drivers? Do you have a PCI card?
Let me try to educate you on Hexus. Rys is the owner/admin of hexus and beyond3d. Both sites are very respected and reliable sites when it comes to 3d hardware. Beyond3d was previously owned by Dave...
so is every future game gonna have a label on it: if you have an ATi card, wait for the patch in order to get decent performance, working crossfire and HDR+AA.
Nice PR ATI.
A lot of ATI fans discredit [H] because they were the ones that came with the first Doom 3 benchmarks and showed the 6800u beating the hell out of every ATi card. Although other sites confirmed [H]'s...
The GTX clocks higher and therefore it has the possibility to score more than a X1900.
You don't win 3dmark records with clock per clock performance, you win them by overclocking the hell out of...
Maybe you have your red sunglasses on? [H] is a respectable site, there's no reason to doubt them.
already done:

the 1Ghz I mean, not the explosion :)
Probably, I only tested stock voltage, 1.5V and 1.55V.
And I only want stabililty during benchmarks, ie spuperpi and pifast stable.
I'm not saying that all this is prime stable.
If it scales...
0549MPMW batch 0042
does 2.85Ghz with stock voltages and 3.1Ghz at 1.5V
aircooled of course
