I know you said sandy/ivy but up until a few months ago I ran a haswell I7 5930k@4.5ghz 1.2875v with air cooling (212 evo) with zero issues of degradation. Worked like the first day I fired up right...
This is an old thread but I wanted to share my experiences with this ram. I was able to run 2600 9-11-11 on 1.70v, and I could get 2800 10-12-12 at 1.75v (1.70v crashed). Could not get above 2800...
Sounds like it's just your thermometer then, unless it's not the same probes....because I had no problem going right to -196c with them on my Tenma.
Yeah right.
I got these right here-

Works fine for full cold on LN2, plus...
You gotta try to get the same guy everytime. Different people charge different amounts. Sometimes you get a tightwad that does everything by the book and charges you full rate. I'm guessing you...
As Chance said, you need thermal paste in the hole with the probe for accurate readings.
Also, LN2 is -196c so if putting the probe IN the LN2 only gets you to -176 then something is wrong with...
You mean gt 530?
The 520 is fro laptops IIRC....520m (mobile)
I got quoted $2 per liter from my local airgas here in central PA, which I was pretty happy with.
Yeah, I was only able to get 5.2ghz out of my 2500k for super Pi on air. Kinda wish I had my water cooling setup then. I was lucky and sold my sandy bridge stuff off before the recall :D I just...
I'd say you got yourself a pretty special chip then! Dang.
Wow 5.6ghz, nice! With HT on no less. Was that really done on a venomous X?
Efficiency is better with the lower speed/tighter timings because there's less stress on the IMC.
What kind of...
I agree, most bloomfield IMC's don't like things much faster than 1600. 1900 is pretty good.
I know my tridents will do 1800 7-8-7, but over 1800 the TRCD has to be higher. But that was stock...
Meh, I still like my Tridents I bought ~a year ago. BBSE ic's FTW, best bang for the buck ram. They will run 2200 8-9-8-24 on stock volts, 2300 with 1.72v, and I've had them as high as 2400 on...
Or some of my previous setups for a little show off and tell :p

Here's some pics of what I'm running daily ATM-

In that case, may very well be :)
I really have no idea because the guy I got it from I believe was the 2nd or even third owner.
Why are you trying to max out ram speed while overclocking? Always lower ram clocks to ''safe for sure'' levels while trying to achieve a maximum CPU overclock. With that said, mine maxxed out at...
It was from canada...so I wouldn't think so
Hey guys, just thought since I was new here I'd say hello and show a pic of my setup.
This pic is older, and my hardware setup changes weekly....but you get the idea :)

Is this just for benching or for 24/7 usage? Just for a short benching period, no need....I've done it many times with my phase. But for extended use, I'd definitely do it.
It's not all about the ram. Most of the time 2133mhz can't be done because of the IMC on the chip. You'll need more VTT voltage at the very least to run that high, but that still might not do it. ...
