That's pretty much my concern also. I'd have already put in an order for one, if not for reliability worries.

Congrats! Just wait until you're my age and have 10 grandkids....
Enjoy your kid(s)...time passes way faster than you can possibly imagine.
For sure!
Any more news on this?
I'm getting a bad link. The one from your other post works.

What are the current supported options for kgb?
LOL, yeah I know...that's the risk. I've got a 295 watt version I'm playing with atm.
PM me your email address and I'll send it to you. I imagine CrazyNutz will have the ability to change max_power added to kgb soon though, along with probably more. CryptiK and CrazyNutz were the ones...
So I went ahead and flashed...it worked perfectly! PrecisionX now lets me go up to 110% and monitoring power I can see it peak at that. I'd guess 285 watts should be safe, so I think I'll go ahead...
So I changed the 04 0B 28 at 8DCF-8DD1 to 04 32 38
which corresponds to changing 265000 to 275000. I also fixed the checksum at 0000F9FF. In theory I should be ready to flash, right? I figured I'd...
We badly need to be able to boost max power above 265. Even with no voltage boost and only running at 1097mhz the throttling can be bad. Vantage shows it easily...gpu-z (or precisionX) monitoring...
I'll always remember that nice Chiller MrIcee made years ago.
Happy Birthday! :toast: Hope all is going well for you.
Congratulations!
I'm getting close to 41 years of marriage to my wife (yeah, I'm in my early 60's :) ).
Happy Birthday!
Any more info on the new GSkill? I'm needing to buy some new ram.
I know these are targeted at new lga2011 systems, but I'm wondering how they'd work with my current 2600K?
I don't think any business with any sense would invest more $$$ in California. It's not surprising the new fab's being built in Arizona.
I've been wondering if Intel was upgrading the G3 controller for 6gbps. For then to introduce a new SSD at this point in time with only 3gbps would seem really dumb.
I'll never buy an SSD that uses compression.
You probably need to enable Internal_PLL_Overvoltage if you haven't already.
Where did you get it from?
Does it boot back up ok at 4.8 ok if you power down?
I don't think it's ready for release until March. I could be wrong of course. :) You can sometimes have multiple release candidates, but RC says it's out of beta and pretty much done.
I'm pretty sure I saw a microsoft link for it...I'll see if I can find it again.
Think I found it:...
I see the periodic drops in TMonitor too, but I have my doubts if they're real. I don't see them when using RealTemp or ThrottleStop(monitoring).
