Patrick curious why you chose Methane instead of r14 was it a cost thing?
Anyway, thanks for creating this thread. Im still having a tough time wrapping my head around (understanding) the whole...
I think that holds true for most variacs at least for the two I own. On the flip side they are very durable...
Yep noticed that so im going to need to be very careful when blending with the r14.
Thanks Adam, Patrick and MyTek
Thank you Patrick!!
I was at a complete loss as to what was going on.
I hate starting these types of threads because it exposes my ignorance for all to see :)
I received some advice on blending r14 with Argon to achieve better temps.
The thing is r14 is very...
Thanks guys!!
A bit depressing but it is what it is I suppose...
I was going to try to blend Argon with r14 in a normal 3 compressor/ 3 stage cascade system.
Im having trouble finding a pressure temp chart for Argon can someone point me in the right direction?
...
Send me a PM im pretty sure we have the same source :)
I have a 3 stage in progress but the posts are on another forum.
Let me know and I would be happy to share the in progress picts.
Sounds like it but they probably scale with Quantity. The more you buy the cheaper per pound? Or maybe they just dont like me
Well at least if I dont Ill have a really cool dental bun-son burner ...haha...
Ok I feel dumb :( What amount of r600 should I be adding?
I believe its the same as the CoolerExpress which is 2 feet.
Its about 2 feet but why not make it longer?
Adam or MyTekcontrols, any ideas for maximizing the 3rd stage? Right now im just planning on r14 and 600 grams of r600 to help with the flow.
Note: First is adjusted to hold -40c with r507 and...
Ok maybe its just me but does methane really require 49.5 (717psi) at -82c to condense into liquid?
Just bought my 5lbs with a tank swap. Paid a little more than last time but not too bad.
99.999% purity for us $60 per lb or 300.00 including tax for the refill.
Supplier
Airgas.
That hurts :(
Airgas and Linders will both fill 5lb customer owned cylinders. Waiting to hear back on the price but suspect it will be around what I paid last time.
Very surprised you guys had to pay so much. Was...
If I remember correctly the last time I had my 5lb r cylinder filled I paid about 285.00 what prices are you guys paying in the US.
Thanks Guys!!
I know I know google is my friend but Im having a tough time finding a complete refrigerant properties table that has some of the more exotic (really cold) refrigerants.
I haven't played around...
Good to know thanks Adam.
Gotcha now I understand...when you said solder I had visions of a solder Iron :)
Bought the burner...is the burner assembly steel? If so couldn't i simply braze a shraeder to it?
