    I totally agree with vario.

It's the least Intel could do. I also have a 5820K @ 4500Mhz, since day 1. It's hard to see any value "upgrading" to a processor of the same price. Bought a 6C/12T at...

    So, according to this a Core i3 8300 is a 4C/8T 4.0Ghz CPU....

Kinda sounds like a Core i7 to me. AMD sent Intels i7 to the i3 performance league :P

15% higher IPC? Where do you get that number from? Ryzen is nearly on par per clock if you take gaming out of the equation. 5% IPC average would be my guess.

Making Intel release an i9 series is an epic win for the customer, thanks to AMD.

And the R9 series looks much more interesting than the i9... 16C/32T monster for HEDT

AMD needs a new architecture, that much is true. But a jump similar to that of Ryzen is an exaggeration.

Bulldozer was an epic failure. Polaris is not.

I have to give v3_2 a try, then.

I have a Xeon ES v3, 12C/24T 75W. It was dirt cheap, and it works perfectly fine for my Virtual Machines. But I'd love to unlock turbo on all cores because it's a...

Ace, does this exploit work on VMware ESXi? I have a Xeon 2650L v3 (kinda, it's an ES) running ESXi 6.5. It'd great to unlock turbo for all cores.

Some people have unrealistic overclocking expectations for Ryzen, IMHO.

Intels 8 core CPUs do 4.3/4.4Ghz average. Less than 10% were hitting 4.5Ghz if I'm not mistaken.

    Why does everyone looks...

If this benchmarks are true, it's an excellent CPU. Power consumption at stock speed is really low! Clock per clock is competitive with Intel, sometimes better, sometimes worse....

I really hope you are right. I'm with you on the 10-15% single core performance loss. If Ryzen 8C/16T is ~10% behind Intel in single threaded applications I'm going back to AMD.
