While this is a step in the right direction for the game itself. I still will not be playing it. I refuse to give them more money for the exp pack, which I cant help but think thats why theyre...
Cya fayt.
Ty SAM.
I too am looking forward to maxwell. Will probably be the last rig I build for quite some time. Aiming for my first 4 gpu beast, but well see what happens.
Yes, but the thought of tasks taking that long makes me cringe.
Wow, beyond impressed:
30k seconds for a long run nathan_kid on 680
# Time per step (avg over 5000000 steps): 6.104 ms
# Approximate elapsed time for entire WU: 30518.949 s

Should be released shortly. The latest round of betas seem to be functioning correctly. Can't wait to see my PPD skyrocket :D

Just passed 500M :)
My next build won't be until haswell-e, and Maxwell are released. So.....it'll be awhile.
Lately, I've been having to watch electric usage. Even though it's only .13 cents kWh here, it sure does...
As soon as NVIDIA fixes the bug, I've got 2 780s just waiting to bring me into the top 100 for boinc RAC
This rig uses a H80i, so no, it's not an open loop system. I just didn't know what section to stick this in to be honest
If you would like to me discuss how much I love my MO-RA3, I'd be...
Yup, shroud is the correct word. Found the tip while searching for something or other. The guy did a full scientific experiment using different fan grills, filters, etc. As well as different...
Here is a pic of the fan grill that was removed:

Here is the fan housing without the fan inside. This is what is attached to the fan and the...
So, currently @4.2 w/ 1.19v There's probably a little overhead in there, but since I crunch and game on this rig, I allow a little breathing room.
Now, when crunching w/ a load at around 95%, my...
I'm still here. And yes, quiet indeed. Been playing Path of Exile, although I think I need a break. A year long binge can do that :)
Recently built my 5th rig (3rd heavy duty one). 4770k@4.2,...
Plugged into a APC UPS 865W. Was working fine before the shutdown.
EDIT: PSU is a Corsair HX1050
So, I've had this for about 6 weeks now, and just today I had to restart my rig, since there was a driver crash from those damn 3EKO units on GPUgrid. Whenever multiples start crunching, (3x 680)...
Why would they change the points? It's a GPU. If it can be done faster, it should receive the same credit as if a CPU did the job. I am almost at 1M credits at GPUgrid daily. Can't even...
Well for once I can post here with good news :)
I managed to get one card working by trimming some off the excess thermal pads for one. Two, I did something that I possibly should have done...
So, applied the ceramic TIM and got some interesting results. Not what I was hoping for, but a step in the right direction nonetheless.
Before (w/o GPU TIM applied yet)

So, after pulling out the other 2 cards last night, I discovered that they are in fact having the exact same problem is the first.
Here is a pic of GPU #2

You know I'm beginning to think the same thing.
When I moved the other two cards (which have never been put under load) into slots 1&2. I started up the machine and the EXACT same thing happened....
Thanks for your reply.
All of the cards have been ran on air for quite some time. The current "bad card" is actually my highest binned card out of all three. That was my first one I bought and...
So, I finally got all my parts in, put everything together. No leaks, all air bubbles ran out, etc.
BUT. I seem to be having one very big problem.
My top card (out of three) is hot. And I...
Thank you for replying. I read the article in regards to the pump+reservoir, and have just ordered it today. I am still deciding on the GPU blocks that I will be using but I think the XSPC Razor is...
